So 25 points for Stoner and is anyone surprised given how dominant he has been all week? Thanks for joining us for our coverage. Next race is in Jerez in two weeks time....join us for that.

-

The result: 1. Stoner, 2. Lorenzo 3. Pedrosa, 4. Dovizioso, 5. Simoncelli , 6. Spies, 7. Rossi, 8. Edwards, 9. Hayden, 10. Aoyama, 11. Barbera, 12. Crutchlow, 13. Abraham.

END

AND STONER HAS THE WIN....his first race for Honda and he has romped to victory.

1'

And here we go with the final lap.....

2'

Lorenzo has pulled away from Pedrosa now...the top three should be set.

2'

Toni Elias with a nasty crash with nobody near him near the final corner....he walks away but is a lucky boy as that is a quick part of the circuit.

3'

Simoncelli is really pushing Dovizioso for fourth.

3'

Stoner's lead is just over 3.5 seconds by the way.

4'

Lorenzo back ahead of Pedrosa and gets a little gap too....will this be enough though?

4'

Lorenzo sneaks in ahead of Pedrosa at a corner but then the Honda overtakes him again on the straight…the bikes showing their respective strengths.

5'

Pedrosa has rediscovered his speed and overtaken Lorenzo. Dovizioso in fourth (JUST) winning the battle with Simoncelli at the moment. Five laps left.

6'

Maverick is asking about Cal Crutchlow...well he is only 12th and Rossi is seventh....

7'

Great drama in two battles….Lorenzo just holds off Pedrosa and then Rossi takes sixth from Spies before almost falling as he looked to hang onto it. Spies sixth again.

8'

AND LORENZO DOES OVERTAKE PEDROSA!!! He moves into second.

8'

Well maybe the reason why Stoner is pulling away is because Pedrosa is dropping and now Lorenzo is breathing down his neck.

9'

Stoner should be fine from here….he has extended his leader to 1.4 seconds and looks to be pulling away.

10'

Stoner back in front!!! He makes the move at 12-13-14 to take the lead back from Pedrosa and he will look to hammer on from here you feel.

11'

Spies overtakes Rossi but then just goes too far wide and Rossi slip back into sixth.

11'

The Rossi-Spies battle is perhaps the best on the track at the moment. Rossi's Ducati holding the sixth place position at the moment.

12'

Nicky Hayden has just managed to move into 11th ahead of Cal Crutchlow who is having a disappointing race in 12th after starting from eight.

13'

Stoner gained a little time on Pedrosa on that last lap and is now breathing down his neck. Just 0.3 of a second behind.

14'

And Rossi has just got past Spies to take sixth while Colin Edwards has shown his experience by getting past Hector Barbera and moving into eight.

14'

Impressive move from Simoncelli sees him pass Dovizioso and move into fourth position. Fearless stuff from the young Italian….Lorenzo on his own in third.

15'

Rossi and Spies are having a freat battle for sixth. The top five are well clear of them though. It is 1. Pedrosa, 2. Stoner, 3. Lorenzo, 4. Dovizioso, 5. Simoncelli

16'

There was nothing wrong with Capirossi's bike...he actually hurt his hand swerving out of the way of team-mate de Puniet

17'

Very much a two-bike race….and Pedrosa TAKES BACK THE LEAD!!!! The Honda HRC pit lane must have had a little heart attack when Pedrosa just snuck past the Australian.

18'

Pedrosa though puts the pressure back on his team-mate…he has now produced the fastest lap. Rossi is up to sixth

18'

Stoner and Pedrosa have managed to build a little gap on Lorenzo in third. Stoner in control of proceedings now - he has just produced the fastest lap.

19'

The standings.....1. Stoner 2. Pedrosa, 3. Lorenzo, 4. Dovizioso, 5. Simoncelli, 6. Barbara 7. Rossi 8. Spies...things have settled down now.

20'

Loris Capirossi is now in the pits too....a disaster for Ducati Pramac who have lost both their riders.

21'

Stoner has now has taken the lead and Pedrosa has gone past Lorenzo too....looks like the Honda's main finally be able to dominate from here.

22'

Randy de Puniet has spun out early and Lorenzo has taken the lead!!! Where has this Yamaha speed come from?

23'

PEDROSA LEADS!.....Great start from the Spaniard and Lorenzo has managed to get in ahead of Stoner.

19:00

So can anyone stop Casey Stoner….we are about to find out.

-

Riders on the warm-up lap now.

-

The final track session before tonight’s season-opening Qatar MotoGP race saw Dani Pedrosa finally end new Repsol Honda team-mate Casey Stoner perfect domination of the timesheets.

-

We have just had a minute silence for the victims in Japan….all the manufactures on the grid are Japanese of course so particularly poignant.

-
