Lorenzo gets pole at Estoril with 1:37.161 then Simoncelli 1:37.294 and Pedrosa 1:37.324.
Pedrosa on the front row but then Stoner has the red light through each of the first three sectors only to lose all his advantage in the final quarter to stay fourth. LORENZO ON POLE.

Colin Edwards up to sixth between Stoner and Dovizioso. Rossi down to eighth.
Simoncelli is flying today - that was the fastest lap of the weekend by #58.
Simoncelli improves again by 0.033s with 1:37.294. Meanwhile Tony Elias, returning to the top tier as Moto2 champion, is languishing at the bottom.
Marco Simoncelli smashes his own time with a 1.37.327 to go 0.683s clear of Lorenzo. Pedrosa in fourth place behind Spies.

Spies up to second now with 1:38.023 while Stoner is consistently losing time in the last sector. Rossi up to seventh.
Simoncelli currently looking like he might just get his first pole position in the MotoGP class.
