Marc Marquez has opened up about his MotoGP future, admitting that "all doors are open" after riding on a Ducati for the first time after 13 years with Honda. The six-time champion was candid on where he may be in 2025, and emphasised the enjoyment he is currently experiencing at this late stage in his career. “The faster you are on the racetrack, more will be open," the Spaniard said.

'I'm open to listen to everything' - Marquez on future and leaving Honda after 13 years

Marc Marquez has told TNT Sports that "all doors are open" regarding his MotoGP future and where he sees himself in 2025.
The six-time MotoGP champion left Repsol Honda for Gresini Ducati after 13 years at the former, but his 2025 place is up in the air.
The eight-time grand prix world champion rode the Circuit of the Americas as a Ducati rider for the first at Friday's practice, showing he is still a force to be reckoned with at the Texan venue, even if he is not the favourite anymore.
"All the doors are open. The faster you are on the racetrack, more will be open," the Spaniard said.
"I'm in a different position because now I'm enjoying, I feel competitive so that means I'm able to keep enjoying, be fast on the racetrack, and then of course I'm open to listen to everything.
"I expect that the market will be more passion, and we'll take longer to sign the contracts."
Reflecting on that decision to switch to Ducati, Marquez said: "It was a super difficult decision because it was without listening to my heart. Just thinking the best for my future, not the present.
"It's my life, it's my career. It was a super hard decision, all my mechanics are there, all the technicians and the sponsors, everything.
"For me it's a big change. You change manufacturers, you change the bike. I worked on myself to understand the bike.
"But then you change the team, you change the technician. I was working for 13 years in a row with Santi Hernandez, now Frankie (Carchedi) is the technician. He needs to know me, I need to know him.
"It's something that is impossible in three months to achieve the same relation like I achieved in 13 years, this is impossible. But we are working in a good way."

'An incredible game of chess' - TNT Sports crew discuss Marquez's future

Just two rounds into the season, Marquez is happy with where he and his team are so far after coming fourth in the Qatar Grand Prix in March.
"My best target was trying to be in that top five in those first two races," he explained.
"Of course in Portimao we took zero points but it was not a real mistake, it was like a race incident. These things happen. One day they hit me, another day I'll hit."
Marquez was unbeaten at COTA between 2013-2018, with a seventh win in 2021. He has played down expectations of picking up an eight in Sunday's Americas MotoGP.
He added: "I am competitive, and then another thing is to be extra competitive and fight for the titles, but at the moment I'm competitive to fight for that top five, with the top boys and this is something that makes me happy."
