MARC MARQUEZ STAMPS HIS GROUND AT BALATON
Marc Marquez has charged to a crucial win in Hungary, charging to a 4.314s advantage over the rest of the field. The No. 93 finished ahead of Pedro Acosta in second and Marco Bezzecchi in third after a sensational race.
It was not an easy win for Marquez, who had to work very hard to clinch victory, duelling with Bezzecchi in the early stages. It was another 25 points to Marquez’s tally, whose title advantage now sits at 175 points as he eyes the 2025 title.
Bezzecchi would initially lead the field throughout the opening laps, before being pushed back to second. Following this, Bezzecchi began to lock horns with Pedro Acosta, who would pip the Italian – charging three seconds into the distance at the flag.
Meanwhile, Jorge Martin battled through the field, climbing from P16 on the grid to a rock-solid fourth. Martin finished ahead of Luca Marini, with the No. 10 claiming his best MotoGP finish with Honda in fifth.
There were plenty of headlines during the Grand Prix, with Alex Marquez crashing earlier on, salvaging points in the late stages with a P14 finish. Enea Bastianini would also crash, suffering a near miss, while Joan Mir, Raul Fernandez, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco and Fermin Aldeguer all had their own incidents.

"I WAS PATIENT IN THE FIRST LAPS" – MARC MARQUEZ
Marc Marquez crossed the line with a 4.314s advantage over Pedro Acosta, with the #93 giving his first thoughts after another victory in 2025!
Marc Marquez said: "On the first corner, when I saw that Marco was on my inside, I released the brakes and went wide because I didn’t want to have an incident in the first corner.
"Then on the second corner, I expected that he would have more corner speed, and in fact, he kept first gear, and I touched him, but luckily for both of us, I saved the crash; he continued.
"From that point, the race changed a bit. I was patient in the first laps, but then when I saw that the soft tyre started to drop and I was on the medium, I began to attack. I had a super good rhythm, I was flowing on track, so I am super happy!"

"IT IS SUPER NICE" – ACOSTA
Pedro Acosta finishes as runner-up in Hungary, showing his incredible pace on Sunday following a disappointing Sprint.
Acosta added: "It is super nice, the weekend started okay on Friday, but then it became more difficult. The team managed to give me a new complete bike and improve what we did in the Sprint yesterday.
"I just want to thank all of them because yesterday they were working until 2 am in the morning to bring me two completely new bikes for this race.
"Yesterday we had a difficult conversation about my mistakes and how I managed my emotions, and today it looks like I listened to him about this."

"I NEEDED THE EXTRA GRIP" - BEZZECCHI
Standing on the final spot on the podium, Marco Bezzecchi gave us immediate thoughts down in the pit lane from a thrilling Hungarian GP! The #72 was the first Aprilia yet again, beating teammate Jorge Martin in fourth.
Bezzecchi said: "I don’t know honestly, I think that was a fantastic race, I did my best, I gave it everything I had, but to be honest, my pace was not enough all weekend.
"I needed the extra grip from the soft in the braking, so I risked it with the soft, but for us, maybe I was better with the medium, but I didn’t know if my speed could be the same or not.
"I tried with the soft and had to resist, but I am very happy with the result overall. Another good weekend, thanks to the boys in the box and the boys at home. I want to dedicate this third place to a dear friend of mine."
