BEZZECCHI STEALS SPRINT STUNNER
Marco Bezzecchi secured the Indonesian GP Sprint win on Saturday, following an incredible final lap move. The Italian has impressed yet again, adding another Saturday win to his tally in 2025. Bezzecchi won by just 0.157s over rookie sensation Fermin Aldeguer as Raul Fernandez rounded off with his first podium.
Alex Marquez took fourth in the Sprint, with Joan Mir rounding out the top five finishes after battling from P12 on the grid. Mir’s HRC teammate, Luca Marini, claimed sixth, beating Marc Marquez, who, after serving a Long Lap penalty, would finish down in seventh.
Further back, VR46’s Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio took the final Sprint points in eighth and ninth. There would be plenty of shock results, including Francesco Bagnaia, with the Italian claiming P14 – crossing the line as the last finisher.
Conditions proved to be tricky on Saturday, with Somkiat Chantra, Enea Bastianini, Pedro Acosta, Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo all suffering crashes throughout Saturday’s action.
Now the riders will enjoy a quick rest before Sunday’s main event – the Indonesian GP. Join us for lights out at 08:00 tomorrow morning.

'FANTASTIC RACE' – BEZZECCHI
Marco Bezzecchi gave his immediate thoughts after the Sprint, discussing the battle with Fermin Aldeguer and his unbelievable pace. Bezzecchi leaves Saturday with added confidence as he looks towards tomorrow’s GP.
After an incredible final lap, he added: "It was a fantastic race, we have to understand what happened at the start, as we lost a lot of time. Afterwards, I was so confident and so fast, Fermin was already gone, so I wasn’t expecting to catch him, but I didn’t give up. I am destroyed, but the last lap was incredible. I tried my best as I wanted this win so bad.
"It was a fantastic battle, congratulations to him but also to all the guys at the Aprilia factory, I am very happy and now we think about tomorrow!"

'WE WILL SEE TOMORROW' - ALDEGUER
It was a bittersweet result for Fermin Aldeguer, finishing in second position after leading the majority of the Sprint. Aldeguer was just 0.157s away from victory, with the No. 54 looking for a further step tomorrow.
Speaking after the Sprint, he said: "In the end, we have to be happy, to finish on the podium is a big result, but after leading all of the race with a very good pace and being close to victory is not fun.
"But we have another chance tomorrow, Aprilia is doing a very good job, as in the last few laps, they were faster. But anyway, we will try to improve this afternoon, and we will see tomorrow!"

Discussing the milestone moment, he said: "I am happy, I don’t have a lot of words, I know that after four years here in MotoGP and three with Aprilia, if I ended up here it was because of them. They never stopped believing in me and supporting me, so thank you"
