Jorge Martin won the MotoGP Grand Prix de France after a race-long battle with Francesco Bagnaia, who was overtaken for second place by Marc Marquez on the last lap.
Martin began on pole position but Bagnaia started better and took the lead at the first corner, holding on this until the 21st lap when the Spaniard took first place.
Marquez, starting from 13th spot on the grid, emulated his incredible Sprint performance, ending the race second on the podium.
Elsewhere, home hero Fabio Quartararo was in sixth spot when he slid off the track two-thirds of the way through the race.
The win sees Martin extend his lead at the top of the MotoGP Standings to 28 points.
Enea Bastiannini is in second spot on 76 points. Bagnaia lies a point behind, with Pedro Acosta (73), Maverick Vinares (70) and Marc Marquez (69) also in touch.
MARTIN WINS, MARQUEZ TAKES SECOND
There was a change on the final lap but it was Marquez who overtook Bagnaia, repeating his sprint performance to come second from Row 5. Martin looked vulnerable starting the final lap but held on for victory.
Thanks for watching all the exhilerating action with us.
BAGNAIA LOOKS STRONGER...
Can he take Martin? Marquez is now back in touch too.
TWO LAPS TO GO...
Will Bagnaia have another chance, will Marquez have a chance to take second? It looks Bagnaia has the better opportunity.
ERROR FROM MARTIN
He went way too wide on a corner and Bagnaia was close to passing him with Marquez right in his slipstream, but Martin recovered.
BASTIANINI THE QUICKEST RIDER ON THE TRACK
He is in fifth spot behind Vinales.
MARQUEZ IS SURELY GOING TO STRIKE SOON
Bagnaia closing the door at every opportunity. This is exactly what Martin wants.
MARQUEZ IS NOW ON THE TAIL OF BAGNAIA
He is closer to Bagnaia than the second place is to Martin.
MARTIN DOES TAKE BAGNAIA
He knew the part of the track he was the quicker rider and he took full advantage. Marquez is now just 0.4 seconds behind Bagnaia.
THE FRONT TWO FLIP-FLOP, THEN BACK AGAIN
Martin took Bagnaia but the reigning champion held him off on the next corner. Good news for Marquez who is just 1.3 seconds behind now.
MARQUEZ HAS OVERTAKEN DI GIANNANTONIO
And Vinales followed him through also. Is it too late for Marquez to challenge the leaders? It feels so.
HOME HERO OUT
Bad news for the home crowd. Quartararo who was in sixth spot crashes out.
BRAVE RIDING FROM DI GIANNANTONIO
He seemed second favourite as Marquez came take him on but he held him off - maybe just for now.
MARQUEZ NOW HAD DI GIANNANTONIO IN HIS SIGHTS
There will be an attempt soon.
MARQUEZ HAS OVERTAKEN VINALES
And he is up in to fourth place now.
BASTIANINI GIVEN LONG LAP PENALTY
This will drop him down to eighth or ninth you would think.
NEARLY A SECOND BETWEEN SECOND AND THIRD
It is hard to see anyone outside the top two taking this race.
ESPARAGO DROPS DOWN THE RACE
He was very unhappy at Bastianini as he goes off the track and comes back in behind Quartararo in eighth.
ESPARAGO BACK TO FIFTH
Vinales and Marquez have also taken the Spaniard shortly after Di Gianntonio did the same.
DI GIANNANTONIO DOES TAKE THIRD PLACE
He has been stalking Esparago for a long time and has now taken him for third place.
HOME HERO LEADING THIRD PACK
Bastianini is in seventh behind Marquez and Vinales, all three a distance from Quartararo in eighth.
OVER HALF A SECOND BETWEEN SECOND AND THIRD NOW
Races within a race are taking place. Martin is keeping Bagnaia honest.
DI GIANNANTONIO IN BATTLE FOR THIRD
He briefly took third from Esparago but was worried about losing it on the corner and the order was reversed again.
VINALES SURVIVES OVERTAKE ATTEMPT FROM MARQUEZ
He did well to hold off Marquez from taking his fifth spot there.
DI GIANNANTONIO IS FASTEST ON TRACK
He is closing in on Esparago in third.
BEZZECHI ALSO SLIDES OUT
Last year's winner will not feature anymore this afternoon. He was in eighth. Again no one else involved.
ACOSTA SLIDES OFF THE TRACK
Somehow he avoids Vinales who was just behind him and goes up to fifth. Marquez is up to sixth.
ACOSTA IS THE FASTEST MAN ON THE TRACK
He is currently in fifth, trying to pass Di Giannantonio. Martin is also looking to find an angle to take Bagnaia.
BAGNAIA TAKES EARLY LEAD
Martin is second, with Espargaro in third. Not quite as explosive from Marquez but he is up to 8th from 13th. Bastianini is back in seventh from second.
WE ARE UNDERWAY!
WATCH THE START OF THE SPRINT AGAIN...
Let's hope for similar fireworks here.
LE MARSEILLAISE HAS BEEN SUNG
The start is not far away now.
EXPECT DIFFERENT CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON
The cool breeze will give the track more grip according to Maverick Vinales.
Video - 'We are going to try to push' - Vinales positive for Grand Prix de France
HERE COMES THE MAN...
No bigger star in the house this afternoon.
THE WIND IS PICKING UP
2003 champion Neil Hodgson says the last thing you want is the wind coming up the inside as they race towards the tight first corner.
BAGNAIA AND VINALES WITH MARTIN ON FRONT ROW
Can Marquez make miracles from Row 5 again? Home favourite Fabio Quartararo is on Row 3.
MARTIN WON SPRINT RACE EASILY...
But there was drama behind. Marc Marquez came from 14th to 4th by the end of the first lap, ending up in second.
