MAGNIFICENT MARQUEZ CHECKS OUT IN CZECHIA
Marc Marquez continued his dominance of the 2025 MotoGP season by claiming victory in the Czech Grand Prix in Brno.
The Spanish six-time world champion claimed his fifth successive Grand Prix victory to set a new manufacturer's record, as he became the first Ducati racer to win five Grands Prix in a row for the Italian brand.
In total, it took Marquez's run of dominance to 10 straight race wins, with five sprint wins joining his five Grand Prix successes over the last five rounds of the campaign. It was also Marquez's eighth sprint and Grand Prix double of the season as he underlined his dominance to extend his championship lead to 120 points heading into the summer break.
The race started with pole-sitter Pecco Bagnaia taking the early lead, while Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi produced a superb start to force his way past Marquez into second place.
Bezzecchi then passed Bagnaia for the lead, before Marquez and Bagnaia duked it out on track for Ducati dominance, with Marquez asserting his superiority once again. He then went on to pass Bezzecchi and build a gap that would never be threatened as he cruised his way to victory.
Bezzecchi completed a memorable ride to secure second place for Aprilia, while Pedro Acosta passed Bagnaia, then held him off in the closing laps, to take third.
It was a nightmare race for Marquez's brother Alex, who crashed out early after a failed attempt to pass Joan Mir, whom he also took out of the race. There was also a scary moment when Enea Bastianini destroyed his Ducati with a huge crash, but he emerged unscathed.
Elsewhere, returning world champion Jorge Martin had an encouraging race in his first Grand Prix since his injury layoff. The Aprilia man finished seventh, 15.8 seconds behind the race winner, but with plenty to build on heading into the summer break.
But the day belonged to Marquez, who tightened his grip on the 2025 MotoGP season with yet another virtuoso display to show that he's levels above the pack.

DOMINANT MARQUEZ HAS NO PLANS TO EASE UP
Marc Marquez may be heading into MotoGP's summer break with a colossal 120-point lead in the world championship standings, but he's promised to keep the pressure on when the action resumes in Austria in four weeks' time.
Chatting to TNT Sports in parc ferme after his victory in Brno, Marquez said that he has seen an improvement in both his Ducati and himself since their mid-season test at Aragon.
"It has been a super first part of the of the season, and especially these last races," he explained.
"We did a step from the Aragon test, with a step on the bike, and I feel better and better, and I'm riding super good.
"I want to say thanks to the team, because, yeah, now it's the summer break, but there's still 10 races to go. It's time to relax, but in Austria, (we need to) keep the same mentality with the same intensity."

BEZZECCHI RECALLS 'UNBELIEVABLE' FIRST LAP AFTER PODIUM FINISH
Marco Bezzecchi thoroughly enjoyed his race as he finished second to Marc Marquez in the Czech Grand Prix.
Chatting to TNT Sports in parc ferme after his race, he said that he had a lot of fun during the Grand Prix, especially during the frantic early laps, where he fought through from the second row to briefly lead the race.
"The first lap was unbelievable, to be honest," he grinned.
"I made an overtake on Quartararo on the outside. I had so much fun in the first half of the race, but unfortunately, when Marc passed me, I immediately saw that he had something more. I tried to attack, but he was strong.
"Anyway, I made a fantastic performance. I'm very, very happy."

MARQUEZ MAKES HISTORY AT BRNO!
Marc Marquez takes the victory in Brno as he becomes the first Ducati rider to ever win five MotoGP Grands Prix in a row.
The Spanish ace did his usual trick of taking his time early, then hitting the front and pulling clear to dominate the field once again.
That's five straight Grand Prix wins, plus five straight sprint race wins. Marquez is simply untouchable right now.

WILL WE GET SOME LAST-LAP DRAMA?
Pecco Bagnaia is just two bike lengths behind Pedro Acosta, but that's still a big gap to bridge, especially against someone as tough on the brakes as Acosta.
The Italian is going to need to find something very special to steal third away from the KTM man. Can he produce it?
19/21
BAGNAIA CLOSES IN!
Bagnaia is now within half a second of Acosta as he looks to snatch third in the closing moments of this race.
It's been a disappointing race for the Italian, having seen his teammate Marquez disappear off into the distance yet again. But he's still up for a scrap, and against Acosta – who TNT Sports commentator Gavin Emmett said is one of the toughest men to pass in MotoGP – he's going to get one.
18/21
A LATE CHANGE TO THE PODIUM PLACES?
With a lead of 2.3 seconds, Marc Marquez looks comfortable out front, while second-placed Marco Bezzecchi has a one-second cushion over Pedro Acosta.
But Acosta is coming under pressure from a charging Pecco Bagnaia with four laps to go.
It looks like there might be enough laps left for Bagnaia to catch the KTM man, but catching someone is one thing. Can he actually pass him?
It could be a grandstand finish for third at Brno.
16/21
BAGNAIA TURNS UP THE PACE
Maybe someone's told Bagnaia about our previous entry! The Italian has upped his pace and has taken four tenths out of Pedro Acosta in third.
The Ducati man is now within eight tenths of Acosta, and appears to be closing in. Has he been saving his rubber for the last few laps?
15/21
BAGNAIA CUT ADRIFT
He started from pole position, but it's looking like another frustrating afternoon for Pecco Bagnaia.
The Italian is in fourth place, 1.3 seconds behind the podium runners, and 2.3 seconds ahead of Raul Fernandez in fifth.
It means the former world champ has got a lonely last six laps to complete to secure fourth at Brno.
13/21
ACOSTA IS GETTING IMPATIENT
Pedro Acosta is itching to get past Marco Bezzecchi for second. The KTM man looks like he's getting held up by the Aprilia now, and he's almost tripping himself up looking for an opening to pass.
If he can get past Bezzecchi, it'll be interesting to see if Acosta can do anything about Marquez, who has pulled out a 1.5-second lead after banging in some lap-record times in the last couple of laps.
12/21
THE WORLD CHAMP IS MOVING UP
Jorge Martin is starting to show some pace in his first full race since returning from injury.
The Aprilia man started 12th, and is now up to seventh, and chasing Fabio Quartararo for sixth.
10/21
MARQUEZ TURNS THE SCREW
Marc Marquez has put the hammer down in a bid to break clear of Bezzecchi and Acosta out front, and he's put three tenths between him and his closest rivals. He's now six tenths clear, and will be looking to build that gap, then manage it smartly, as this race develops.
8/21
MARQUEZ HITS THE FRONT!
Marc Marquez has seen enough. The six-time world champ passes Bezzecchi on the inside and takes the lead of the Czech GP.
His move may have been motivated by what's happening behind him. Pedro Acosta is right on the tail of the leading two as he continues to close in.
Can Marquez break clear, or will Bezzecchi and Acosta keep him in range?

BASTIANINI CRASHES OUT!
Enea Bastianini was tipped for a strong race by TNT Sports' Michael Laverty before the start, and the Italian was starting to grow into this race before disaster struck on Lap 7.
He had just passed Pecco Bagnaia for fourth, but lost control of his bike, which was destroyed through the gravel trap as it torpedoed into the air fence.
For a moment it looked like a red flag might be a possibility, but the air fence appears undamaged, so the action continues.
Bastianini looks OK, but that was a big one.

A HAPPY GARAGE AT APRILIA?
The boys and girls in the Aprilia team must be stifing big smiles right now. Not only have they secured the services of world champion Jorge Martin for next season, they're currently leading the Czech GP, with Marco Bezzecchi out front and looking good.
We're a quarter of the way into this race, and Bez is looking strong. But Marquez is stalking him in second.
4/21
ACOSTA LOOKING STRONG EARLY
The KTM of Pedro Acosta has looked strong at Brno this weekend. He finished second in the sprint race yesterday, and is looking good in third right now, ahead of Bagnaia.
There was a bit of a gap to the front pair of Bezzecchi and Marquez, but Acosta is already chipping away at that deficit and is closing in. The front two could soon become a three-way battle for the lead.
2/21
ALEX MARQUEZ IS OFF! AND SO IS JOAN MIR!
Alex Marquez started way down the order, and he's had a disaster on Lap 2 as he crashes out, taking Joan Mir off with him. Mir was a complete passenger in the incident, with Marquez's failed attempt to go up the inside of Mir ending both of their races.
The move wasn't really on, and TNT Sports commentator Neil Hodgson reckons a penalty could be heading Marquez's way. Meanwhile the two Spanish riders are remonstrating with each other in the gravel trap, with both of their races done and dusted.
2/21
BEZZECCHI TAKES THE LEAD!
Marco Bezzecchi is on fire early on. He passed Marc Marquez on Lap 1, and he passes Pecco Bagnaia on Lap 2 to take the lead of the Czech GP.
Meanwhile, Bagnaia and Marquez are battling hard for second place, with Marquez eventually prevailing and setting off in pursuit of Bezzecchi.

THE GLOVES ARE OFF EARLY!
The field gets away cleanly as Bagnaia leads them through the first few turns. Marquez passes Bagnaia, but immediately gets re-passed by the Italian former world champion. Then, with Marquez still reeling from that move, Bezzecchi stuffs his bike up the inside and mugs Marquez for second.
It's a punchy start to the Czech Grand Prix!
