Barcelona win again

MKB Veszprem got their first win of the tournament when they comprehensively thumped Povazska Bystrica 46-26.

After having suffered defeat at the hands Portland San Antonio last week, Veszprem were determined to seek revenge and unfortunately for Povazska Bystrica they were the victims.

Group A is still wide open as Veszprem's win means that there are now three teams in the group only two points from two matches.

Second seeds in Group B SC Pick Szeged were also looking for their first win, which came much to the disappointment of the home supporters as the Hungarian side defeated Brest HC Meshkov 30-24.

KIF Kolding Elite proved too strong for Group C leaders Wisla Plock soundly defeating them 35-18 and knocking them from the top of the table in the process.

Kolding were always in control leading 19-4 at the half-time break and managed to maintain the lead in the second half.

Qualifiers Constanta were also cruising consigning Svendborg to their second win in two with a 33-28 victory.

The Romanian side now lead Group E havnig taken the maximum four points from their first two games.

HC Portovik Yuzhny's misery continued as they suffered a second loss in a week - this time at the hands of group leaders Montpellier, 26-16.

Also in Group H A1 Berenz HB suffered their second loss - CBM Valladolid defeating them 35-24 - and they join Yuzhny languishing at the bottom of the group with no points.
