Now in their second season, the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5 continue to shine a light on the players just outside the PGA TOUR’s elite fields — those whose strategic consistency and resilience are pushing them into the game’s biggest stages.
These programmes bring clarity to what separates the good from the great: making the best decisions when it matters most.
In golf, every shot is a decision. Club selection, course management, and risk-reward judgment all compound over four days to shape an event.
That’s the essence of the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5: giving fans a window into how the game’s next generation earns their place by making the right decisions at the most pivotal moments.
These two pathways identify players just outside the FedExCup Top 50 - those on the cusp of qualifying for the PGA TOUR’s Signature Events. In 2025, 40 players qualified for Signature Events across the two paths.
Their performances resulted in nine Top 5 finishes, twelve Top 10s, and over $24.7 million (£18.4m) in total earnings. While the numbers speak volumes, it’s the decisions behind those results that tell the real story.

A springboard to the major leagues

European players in particular have used the Aon Swing 5 and Next 10 spotlight to show how preparation and precision fuel opportunity.
England’s Harry Hall surged into the field at the Signature Event Travelers Championship after a strong ninth-place finish at the RBC Canadian Open - one of the "full-field" events in the lead up to Travelers.
That performance moved him from 56th to 47th in the FedExCup standings, putting Signature Event qualification well within reach for 2026.
Similarly, Germany’s Matti Schmid made significant strides. A seventh-place finish at ONEflight Myrtle Beach and a runner-up result at the Charles Schwab Challenge lifted him 47 spots in the FedExCup rankings - from 108th to 61st. His consistency under pressure, especially on the greens, has positioned himself well for a play-off push.
Finland’s Sami Valimaki broke through with a Top 20 finish at the RBC Heritage and a tie for 12th at the Valero Texas Open, holding his own alongside major champions like Jordan Spieth. He climbed from 122nd to 66th in the world rankings, closing in on the coveted Top 50.
These are not just strong showings. They are examples of how thoughtful, confident play under pressure can accelerate players’ careers.
