'No doubt' Bryson DeChambeau will sign new LIV Golf deal once 'alignment point' reached, with American superstar 'very excited for the future'

LIV Golf's biggest star, Bryson DeChambeau, could be set to commit his immediate future to the Saudi-backed league after he revealed negotiations are going in a promising direction. The two-time US Open winner is set to be out of contract in 2026, but has poured cold water on any speculation as he aims to remain the Crushers GC captain in 2027. Bryson DeChambeau said there is "no doubt" he will remain in LIV Golf next year as long as an "alignment point" is reached, amid speculation over his future.
The 32-year-old's deal expires in 2026, but he revealed there has been "progress" in negotiations.
There had been uncertainty over DeChambeau's commitment to the Saudi-backed league, particularly after the departures of Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed.
"There has been progress made," DeChambeau told Mirror Sports US. "We, again, are in negotiations and I want what's best for the game of golf and for the league, ultimately.
"We just have to continue to align and, like I said from day one, if we can get to an alignment point, there's no doubt that I'll be here next year. We just have to get there."
DeChambeau insisted other players' decisions had no bearing on his future with LIV Golf - which will be live on TNT Sports and discovery+ this season.
"Everybody has their own decisions to make for whatever reasons they are," he said.

"I'm currently focused on what I'm trying to deliver to LIV Golf and to the golf ecosystem. However it shakes out, it's going to shake out.
"This year is going to be a good year of golf for me. Very excited for the future of that competitively here at LIV Golf. With the majors, I love the golf courses this year and I need to be ready to go for those tournaments. I'm excited."
DeChambeau, who captains Crushers GC, is set for his fifth LIV Golf season.
He also turned his attention to the news that the league would no longer be excluded from the overall ranking system.
LIV Golf will now receive Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, with the top 10 finishers in each LIV event consisting of 57 players to be awarded ranking points.
"I am trying to understand what it means and how it all shakes out," DeChambeau said.
"I had no idea how they were going to handle it. I didn't know if we were going to get points, but at least we're getting points right."
