Bryson DeChambeau delivered a "perfect" shot to set up victory over Jon Rahm in a play-off at LIV Golf South Africa.
After tasting victory in a play-off in Singapore the previous week, the American repeated the dose at Steyn City.
DeChambeau produced a shot for the ages with a three-wood to set up victory for the second tournament in a row, and it proved too much for Rahm to match.
”That three-wood is going to be locked up in a case one day when it is done,” DeChambeau said. ”Those three-wood shots to win these two tournaments was quite amazing.
”I can’t tell you how perfect that shot came off."
Rahm trailed DeChambeau by three shots at the start of the round and by four after five holes, but he made relentless progress throughout the course of the day.

An eagle on the 10th on the back of birdies on four, six, eight and nine closed the gap and further birdies on 14 and 16 reeled in DeChambeau.
DeChambeau stood on the 18th tee in regulation play knowing a birdie would secure him the trophy, but he sent his drive into the deep rough on the left. He secured a free drop from standing water - after a deluge of rain had hit the course.
Never one to take a backward step, DeChambeau took out a three-wood and went for the putting surface, but could only reach the bunker guarding the front of the green.
He caught his bunker shot fat and had to get up and down from the rough to force the play-off - with both on 26-under after 72 holes.

The players went back to the 18th tee for the play-off, and for the second time DeChambeau went way left with his drive. He received relief, but was able to place his ball on this occasion due to it rolling when dropped.Â
From there, he produced a stunning strike to send his approach to 12 feet. With Rahm finding the greenside bunker and not able to make a birdie, two putts were enough for DeChambeau to claim his second title of the season.

”My team has stuck through thick and thin,” DeChambeau told TNT Sports. ”I have sometimes made it hard, and to see two back-to-back wins in a row and a team win, it means so much.
”We played a stellar day today. We were able to get the job done.”
Over 100,000 fans attended the event over the four days, and DeChambeau felt South Africa should be proud of the show that was put on.
”The country should be proud,” DeChambeau said. ”They showed up and showed out, and it is what LIV Golf is all about.”

While DeChambeau and Rahm were fighting it out for the title, Thomas Detry had a different goal, as a top-two finish would have secured him a place in the world’s top 50 and a Masters invite.
He got within one stroke of second deep into his round, but a bogey on 16 derailed his charge and he finished in a tie for third place at 23-under to miss out on a spot at the opening major of the year.
In the team competition, the home Southern Guards GC were reeled in from a position of strength to finish second behind DeChambeau’s Crushers GC.
