DE VRIES STRIKES FIRST IN MONACO
Nyck De Vries is your Monaco ePrix winner on Saturday, securing victory by 2.677s over Mitch Evans. It was the perfect strategy from Mahindra, who claimed their first podium in the Gen 3 era.
Pepe Marti secured a late podium following a penalty for Cupra Kiro team-mate and polesitter Dan Ticktum. The No. 33 finished in P12 with the penalty applied following his contact with Antonio Felix da Costa.
Felipe Drugovich and Sebastien Buemi rounded out the top five in Monaco after a dramatic end to the race, which featured safety cars and full-course yellows.
Jake Dennis also suffered a DNF with separate issues for Pascal Wehrlein, Edoardo Mortara, Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato, who all finished out of position following the 29-lap dash.
Evans now leads the Formula E championship ahead of Round 10, which takes place on Sunday afternoon.

‘A DREAM’ – MARTI
Pepe Marti has finished on the podium, securing a surprise P3 in his rookie Formula E season.
Marti said: I was really happy with fourth, it was my first top five, and it hurts to see it was Dan who fell out of the podium. It is a great result, and to do it at Monaco, there’s no better place to do it.
”The car has been on fire, pole position for Dan, and I was able to move from 15th to third. It is fantastic, I’m still a bit shocked as I didn’t expect it, I came across the line and came fourth and now to be here is a bit of a dream!”

‘FULL CREDIT TO NYCK’ - EVANS
Mitch Evans now leads the championship, remaining happy as he leaves Monaco with another podium!
Evans added: "It was a pretty straightforward race; there were a few hairy moments, obviously, strategy was key today. I didn’t race well at the start of the race; I could have been more aggressive – I was just being a little cautious.
"I came towards me after the pit stops, and in the pit window, we were quite quick. Full credit to Nyck and Mahindra, they’ve been rapid all day, so it was always going to be a task to beat them, so I’ll happily take P2 and the 18 points and move on to tomorrow."

‘WE MADE THE RIGHT CALLS’ – DE VRIES
After securing an incredible win for Mahindra, race winner De Vries gave his thoughts!
De Vries said: ”The first one for Mahindra, together at least. It’s been a great day, we had a great pace, the car was amazing, and the team was amazing – it was a great execution, we made the right calls at the right time.
”We had the right energy to push during the pit window and to win our first race together. I’m a little bit emotional as it’s been a rough start and we’ve been at the receiving end and it just shows that you’ve got to hang in there, as better times will come.
”In 2024, I joined the team, and we were in penultimate last position. Last year, I think we had a great year as we finished P4, and we are obviously more ambitious than that, so I'm very happy to be with the team, and I think the vibe is great, so I think we need to keep going.
”This was the perfect plan, and it worked out well but we had to do the job during the pit window, which worked out well!”

GREEN FLAG - DE VRIES WINS
We go racing for the final half a lap in Monaco! It’s been 44 races since De Vries took victory in Formula E, but today is the No. 21’s day. De Vries has stormed to victory in Monaco, bringing Mahindra to the top step of the podium for the first time in nearly five years.
29/29
FINAL LAP
We are now on the final lap of action as the marshals continue to deal with the incident and remove Da Costa's car. We could get racing for the final half a lap.
27/29
FULL COURSE YELLOW
Da Costa is OUT of the ePrix! The wheel has completely come off the car, bringing out a full-course yellow. Da Costa hit the back of Ticktum’s car in the braking zone as the No. 33 tried to squeeze the Jaguar driver.
The incident is under investigation...
26/29
DA COSTA FIGHTS BACK
It was a BOLD move from Da Costa, who tried to push Dan Ticktum to fourth position. However, the move was unsuccessful with both drivers cutting the chicane in an attempt to avoid contact. Ticktum has also said on the radio that he has no pace – proving that victory hopes are slipping away for the British star.
25/29
TICKTUM CATCHING
Dan Ticktum is beginning to catch the leaders, reducing the gap to less than one second as he uses his attack mode. Ticktum enters the podium on lap 25 as his final seconds of extra power tick down. Next on his sights: Evans and De Vries as the podium fight brings the Monaco fans to the edge of their seats.
23/29
MORTARA INSIDE THE TOP 10
It’s a great drive for Edoardo Mortara, who enters the points and currently sits in P9 with attack mode. Let’s not forget, Mortara hit issues in qualifying, with a technical issue forcing the Mahindra star to miss the session…
20/29
THE ORDER AFTER PIT BOOST
Now that Da Costa has left the pits, here’s how the order stands:
De Vries now leads the race, using his five minutes of attack mode to his advantage – passing Da Costa. Evans also sits in the podium positions with Ticktum down in P4, leaving plenty of work to do in the closing laps. Buemi rounds out the top five with Drugovich in P6 – also using attack mode.
19/29
AS THINGS STAND
Wehrlein will lead the championship if the chequered flag were to come out, remaining tied with Mortara, who sits P6 as we await the pit boost leaders to settle out the field.
Dan Ticktum has also entered the pits this time around, looking to take his pit boost and grab some extra power. Ticktum leaves the pits behind De Vries, meaning we have a race on our hands for victory in Monaco!
17/29
DA COSTA LEADS
Da Costa has used his attack mode, storming past the British driver to steal the lead of the race. He has less than two minutes of his attack mode left, meaning that Dan Ticktum has nothing to worry about just yet…
17/29
TICKTUM PUSHES ON
Dan Ticktum is going for a longer opening stint on the circuit, showing no signs of slowing down. We’re awaiting to see when the Cupra driver will enter the pits as De Vries leaves the pitlane with his pit boost – he remains pit boost leader!
Ticktum stays out and heads onto lap 17 with clear air and a clear track ahead!
15/29
ROWLAND SUFFERS A PUNCTURE TOO
Now there’s drama for British star Oliver Rowland, who falls behind his teammate Nato – dropping to P18. It’s a really disappointing day for Nissan, who have a lot of work to do in this second part of the ePrix. There’s plenty of drivers entering the pits too – looking to use their pit boost!
14/29
YELLOW FLAG – ISSUES FOR PORSCHE
We’ve got a yellow flag on the circuit due to debris, with Wehrlein tumbling down the order and Mueller also showing signs of damage. We’re not in the pit boost window either, making this a costly error for the German squad.
On the replay, Mueller was unable to get the car stopped in time, hitting the rear of the No. 94 – his teammate.
12/29
CASSIDY RECEIVES A PENALTY
Cassidy has now received a penalty from the stewards for causing a collision. It’s a 10-second penalty for the Citroen star, who loses any hopes of a strong result unless there’s another safety car – remember this is Monaco and ANYTHING can happen!
10/29
FASTEST LAP FOR NATO
Nissan’s Nato now holds the fastest laps of the race, remaining significantly quicker than race leader Ticktum. It’s proof that Ticktum is holding some pace in the locker as he holds a comfortable margin over De Vries.
9/29
WARNING FOR ERIKSSON
Joel Eriksson has been handed a black and white warning flag. That’s due to moving under braking, with the Swedish driver running in P7 ahead of Vergne and Drugovich.
8/29
ENERGY REVEAL
It’s our first look at the driver’s energy, with the majority of the field sitting in the 82% range. Due to the safety car, energy consumption has been pretty low so far, with busy work taking place in the garage as they decide when they will take their boosts!
