GLORY FOR ROWLAND, ANDRETTI, AND DE VRIES IN MONACO
It was a glorious day in Monaco for Oliver Rowland who powered to his first victory on the iconic circuit, using a clever strategy to win and extend his lead at the top of the drivers' standings.
He finished ahead of Nyck de Vries, who earned Mahindra's first podium in 18 months with a perfectly-timed Attack Mode to secure second place in the closing stages of the race.
Jake Dennis rounded off the podium in third place despite a five-second penalty, but it was his teammate Nico Mueller who protected the Briton from demotion by backing up the pack.
Andretti has scored big points this weekend as their drivers finished third and fourth, but it was an awful race for Porsche with the retirement of Antonio Felix da Costa.
The reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein jumps his teammate da Costa in the drivers' standings, now second behind Rowland up front.

DENNIS: TEAM GAVE ME A ROCKET SHIP TODAY
Jake Dennis has found himself on the podium again after his teammate protected him from a five-second penalty in the closing stages of the race. It was a great day for Andretti as they secured crucial points in fourth and fifth during Round 5.
Dennis said: "Yeah, pretty stressed. I knew it was going to be pretty close with the FCY (full-course yellow).
"Yeah, sure enough, when the penalty came, I took on the chin, but obviously had to have a bit of help from Nico.
"And ultimately, the pace was strong enough to create the gap.
"But man, it was such a tough race mentally, so many different strategies going on.
"I honestly felt like we did most things perfect.
"It was obviously just a pit boost situation, obviously having to use the spare and then losing around one or two seconds with that, and then we dropped too far back.
"But the car has been quick all day today, and the boys really gave me a rocket ship and to be able to fight back through and get my first podium of the season.
"It's been so long since Misano in season 10, and yes, repay them with a Monaco podium."

DE VRIES: NICE TO BE ON JOURNEY WITH MAHINDRA
Nyck de Vries has claimed his first podium in a year after a spectacular Monaco ePrix, which saw him climb up the ranks and earn a second-place finish for Mahindra.
De Vries said: "[Great day] for myself too.
"It's been an incredible day for us as a team.
"Honestly, I can't thank them enough.
"They executed a great race during the pit boost and chose the right moments to go for it and take the attack.
"So honestly, a big thanks to them, and just very nice to be on this journey together.
"We've come so far from last year, and we constantly make little steps.
"And it's nice to give them this reward, because they really, really deserve it."

ROWLAND: I NEVER KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH PIT BOOST RACES
The Nissan driver had a glorious Saturday in Monaco, earning his first victory at one of the most iconic circuits in motorsports with a clever strategy that led him to the win. He now extends his lead at the top of the drivers' standings after his title rival Antonio Felix da Costa crashed out of the race.
Rowland said: "You never know what to do, especially with these pit boost races.
"It's the second race, but we kind of had a plan.
"We stuck to it. It was a bit trickier to pass Taylor than I thought, to be honest.
"But no, look, we kept calm, even at the end I was pretty worried.
"During that second attack mode, I dropped back to fifth, and I was behind two Mahindras.
"And I was like, right now, we need to get cracking.
"But yeah, great job by the team. And yeah, very well executed."

BRITON ROWLAND CONQUERS MONACO AHEAD OF ANDRETTI
Nissan driver Oliver Rowland has powered to his maiden Monaco victory after a strategic masterclass saw him perfectly time his ATTACK MODE to claim victory ahead of the Andretti duo. The Andrettis proved to be a harmonious team after Jake Dennis was protected from a five-second penalty by his teammate Nico Mueller. However, it was Nyck de Vries who earned a second-place finish on a lucky day for Mahindra by earning their first podium in 18 months.

ROWLAND SECURES MAIDEN MONACO VICTORY
Oliver Rowland has earned his first victory at the Monaco ePrix with a clever strategy that pushed him 1.5s ahead of his nearest competitor Nyck de Vries. The Andretti duo sit in third and fourth place after Nico Mueller saved his teammate Jake Dennis from a disastrous five-second penalty.

ROWLAND RECLAIMS LEAD AFTER PERFECTLY TIMED ATTACK MODE
Oliver Rowland is cutting it extremely close to use his ATTACK MODE, falling to fourth place on Lap 24 after being jumped by the two Andretti drivers. Nyck de Vries has inherited the lead of the race after using his ATTACK MODE to climb up the ranks. The Andretti duo have tailed the leader into the final corner and attempted to jump the Mahindra driver but it was de Vries who came out on top.
Meanwhile, Rowland decided to use his ATTACK MODE on the final four laps and immediately jumped the Andretti duo for second place. He tailed de Vries through the tunnel and pulled off the overtake on the Nouvelle chicane for the lead.
Jake Dennis picks up a penalty for an incident earlier in the race, potentially dropping him to seventh place at best. Another lap is added to the race after the full-course yellows interrupted racing conditions.

FINAL ATTACK MODE PROTECTS MUELLER, BUT DE VRIES IS ON THE RISE
Nico Mueller has found himself in the lead of the Monaco ePrix after the order switched up due to the pack taking their mandatory pit stops. Mueller is currently using four minutes of ATTACK MODE on Lap 20 as he defends hard from Nick Cassidy running in second place. Although Mueller is in ATTACK MODE, Cassidy is as close as ever but with less energy than the race leader. Mueller is boasting 34% energy left while Rowland, who is running in third place, has 35%.
Nyck de Vries has decided to use his final four minutes of ATTACK MODE in the final few laps, starting in fourth place and hoping to claim the lead. Our polesitter Taylor Barnard runs in sixth place on Lap 22 while the championship leader sits right behind Mueller after jumping Cassidy for second place.
The only Porsche left on track, Pascal Wehrlein, is also using his final four minutes of ATTACK MODE. He climbs up to seventh place and battles the polesitter for sixth place, which he snatches on Lap 23. Rowland has yet to use his last four minutes as he defends his second-place position from de Vries, but de Vries overtakes the Nissan on the starting straight.
20/29
ATTACK MODE SWITCHES UP THE ORDER
Eight drivers deployed their ATTACK MODE on Lap 17, including all four top drivers running in the Monaco ePrix. Oliver Rowland, Nyck de Vries, Pascal Wehrlein, and Dan Ticktum have opted to use four minutes of ATTACK MODE as they run first, second, third, and fourth respectively on Lap 17. Rowland, however, is nearing the end of his ATTACK MODE but retains the lead ahead of the others.
Drivers including Sam Bird, Taylor Barnard, Edoarda Mortara, Jake Dennis, and Jean Eric Vergne have also decided to use ATTACK MODE in the middle of the race as we head into the final ten laps. Only Nick Cassidy and Nato Norman have no ATTACK MODE left after using it all up.
In addition to ATTACK MODE, drivers including Oliver Rowland, Nyck de Vries, Pascal Wehrlein and Dan Ticktum entered the pits to use the Pit Boost feature on Lap 19. This drops them down a few positions but powers them up greatly for the remainder of the race.
However, our polesitter Taylor Barnard runs in seventh place on Lap 19 as he used his ATTACK MODE to climb back up the ranks after a pit stop. Rowland runs in fifth place ahead of de Vries and Dennis as they head into Lap 20.

FULL-COURSE YELLOW AGAIN AS JAGUAR STOPS
After losing the lead to Oliver Rowland, Taylor Barnard struggled to retain his track position in second place as an eager Jake Dennis sat eagerly behind looking to secure a podium for Andretti. Barnard managed to hold off the Andretti but fell 0.5s behind the championship leader.
Robin Frijns has decided to deploy four minutes of ATTACK MODE on Lap 14, but a yellow flag was called into Le Portier. It was unfortunately Mitch Evans who stopped mid-track right before the tunnel, calling yet another full-course yellow. Drivers who have deployed ATTACK MODE are incredibly unlucky as their time keeps ticking.
The full-course yellow was short-lived, but a clever Nissan strategy saw Rowland rush into the pits to recharge his car and deploy ATTACK MODE right as the green flags were waved. Barnard reclaimed his lead on Lap 15 as Rowland entered the pits, but he did not hold the lead for long as they swapped positions on the starting straight.

BARNARD AND ROWLAND FIGHT FOR LEAD AFTER GREEN FLAGS
The race has been neutralised due to the full course yellow but the Porsche is still planted firmly on track, now attached to a crane which appears to be struggling to lift the car. It seems as though the Monaco jinx for Porsche has continued into 2025. Hopefully Pascal Wehrlein can collect some points for the German team after his teammate's retirement.
Taylor Barnard still leads the race under yellow flag conditions with Oliver Rowland following closely behind. This gives the Nissan driver a chance to cool down his car after reporting damage for the first act of the race. The full-course yellow ended on Lap 11, and immediately, a battle for third place unfolded.
Jake Dennis jumped Nyck de Vries for third place as soon as the green flags were waved, leaving de Vries under pressure from Pascal Wehrlein. At the front of the pack, Rowland attempted a move on the race leader down into the final turn but he failed to stick the move and actually lost some time.
Barnard recovered well after closely cutting the chicane to defend well from the Nissan driver, but he retained the lead on Lap 12. The fight continued across the lap but Barnard was forced to give up the lead to Rowland after cutting another chicane in the middle sector of the track.

YELLOW FLAGS AS DA COSTA CRASHES INTO WALL
Four drivers opted for an early ATTACK MODE strategy, hoping to reap the benefits in the early stage of the race and essentially top it back up towards the end. David Beckmann also used four minutes of ATTACK MODE to climb up to ninth place while Maloney only gained two positions after using his ATTACK MODE. Jake Hughes has used ATTACK MODE to climb to 18th place, but it was only Cassidy climb as high as sixth.
Some chaos has unfolded on Lap 8 as the drivers battle it out for some points in the midfield. There was a yellow flag called at Turn 8 following some contact between drivers but it was cleared briefly after.
Almost immediately after the yellow flag was cleared, one of the Porsche drivers crashed into the wall just before the finish line. It is a full-course yellow during the Monaco ePrix as Antonio Felix da Costa retires from the race. He got caught by the tail end of another drivers' car as three attempted to head into the final turn, causing da Costa to clip the wall and clatter into the barrier.

FIRST ATTACK MODE
The first of the ATTACK MODE comes into play as Nick Cassidy has managed to climb up from 16th place to sixtth so far, deciding to use four minutes early on in the race. Zane Maloney has also chosen to deploy his ATTACK MODE early, using four minutes too. Maloney used his ATTACK MODE while in 19th and hopes to jump up at least five positions.
Taylor Barnard looks comfortable at the front of the pack as he leads Oliver Rowland around Monaco. The Nissan driver has yet to challenge the rookie but is still reporting some damage on the car after some slight contact with de Vries on the opening lap.
ATTACK MODE has appeared to be crucial at this point in the race as Cassidy climbed up to sixth and engaged in a battle with Jake Dennis for fifth. The Jaguar driver is looking for a fight to top step to extend his team's dominance on the iconic circuit.
3/29
ROWLAND REPORTS DAMAGE
The championship leader Oliver Rowland has reported some damage with his car, and if you listen closely, his Nissan is making a scratching sound as he heads into Turn 5. Nonetheless he still tails 0.4s behind the race leader Taylor Barnard who looks comfortable in front.
Nico Muller has rushed to the pits for some repairs after reporting damage. The pit stop was rather long and he falls to the back of the pack as the rest of the drivers head into the hairpin.
Meanwhile, Nyck de Vries runs in third place while clocking in the fastest lap of the race. The mighty Porsche duo are far behind the rest of the pack, but they appear to be climbing up the ranks.

BARNARD LEADS ROWLAND
McLaren's Taylor Barnard got off to an amazing start as he launched off the line and led Oliver Rowland into Turn 1. The track position for this race is incredibly important and the drivers are hoping to climb up the field.
Somehow, everyone managed to retain their positions on track after going through the iconic Mirabeau hairpin. Every driver has somehow made it out of the first lap without damage but it is starting to pick up as we head into Lap 2.

FIVE MINUTES TO GO...
The grid is as packed as can be as the drivers prepare for the first Monaco ePrix double-header. The skies are grey and there is a slight chance of rain this afternoon. Sit tight for a super exciting race with the all-new Pit Boost feature set to take centre stage.

PORSCHE AND THE MONACO JINX
Porsche has been rather unlucky in Monaco. They have come close to picking up the glorious victory, but bad luck has plagued the team with mechanical issues and strategic difficulties have come in the way.
The reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein came close to securing the victory in 2022, but a failed inverter destroyed his lead, and luck in Monaco. Despite the German motorsport giants being one of the quickest and most dominant teams on the grid, they never seem to get Monaco just right.
Team Principal Florian Modlinger said: "Winning in Monaco would be something special.
"I do not value it differently to other races because we have 16 races and we are looking for the championship, and that's always the target.
"It would be great to win there but the first target is to perform.
"We were close then [2022], Pascal was on a very good way there, and this was a really disappointing moment for the whole team, particularly for Pascal."

COULD BUEMI TAKE THE CROWN?
There have been six winners in Monaco in Formula E’s history of racing here, with only one driver to win twice. Sebastien Buemi took back-to-back wins in the early days of racing here in Seasons 1 and 3, but could he be the one to take a third?
Winning in Monaco is an enormous feat across all motorsports. Charles Leclerc famously said that the Monaco Grand Prix is the reason he became a Formula 1 driver. However, Buemi has not had a great start to the season.
The Envision Racing driver sits in 19th place in the drivers’ standings after just picking up six points compared to his teammate with four. They have been incredibly unlucky so far, with only one top ten finish in Round 5.
It would take the stars to align for Buemi to pick up a third win in Monaco, especially when competing against the mighty Jaguars.

ROWLAND’S RESURGENCE
Oliver Rowland is having the season of his life. The British Nissan driver has been the man to beat in each race so far this season, with two victories in Mexico and Jeddah. He currently leads the drivers’ standings with 69 points.
His Nissan-powered colleagues have also outperformed the Porsches and Andrettis. Norman Nato kicked off Round 5 with an impressive maiden pole position in Miami, set to continue Nissan’s dominance.
A Nissan resurgence could end the dominance of one of the big guns, Porsche, which appears to be struggling this year. With their reigning champion down in the midfield and their veteran driver fighting for points, it could be tough to recoup. After all, it is Porsche, and if any team can make a huge comeback, it’s certainly them.
The Porsche duo have slowly climbed up the table to sit second and third behind Rowland, with Antonio Felix da Costa in second and the reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein in third. The drivers are separated by just three points, while Rowland holds a 15-point lead over da Costa.
