TICKTUM POWERS THROUGH CARNAGE TO CLAIM MAIDEN WIN IN JAKARTA
Dan Ticktum was the star of the show in Jakarta, powering through the tricky conditions to claim his maiden win in Formula E after 60 days of racing in the electric series.
His victory marks the first victory in 10 seasons for Cupra Kiro, bringing redemption in Indonesia for the previously struggling team.
Edoardo Mortara claimed a second-place finish after jumping his team-mate Nyck de Vries for the position on the podium.
Andretti earned one driver on the podium with Nico Mueller securing his first podium for the team, while his polesitting team-mate Jake Dennis dropped to the back of the field.
Oliver Rowland, despite finishing in 10th place, still retains the lead of the drivers' championship as his nearest competitor Pascal Wehrlein finished just a position behind.
Rowland could wrap up the title fight in Berlin in a month if all goes to plan.

MUELLER: 'HAPPY WE SURVIVED' CHAOTIC INDONESIAN RACE
Nico Mueller scored his first podium for Andretti with a third-place finish in the Jakarta ePrix, also earning his first podium since 2021. Mueller was one of the few to keep it clean throughout the race, staying clear of the chaos.
Mueller said: "Very good. I think, you know, we always had the race pace. All season long, qualifying has been our Achilles heel, if you want to call it that.
"Today, I felt like I had a car to go into the duels, a slight mistake. You know, in these very dusty conditions, I paid a big price for that. But then in the race again, I managed to move up already, in the beginning, made our way into the top eight. And then, you know, a bit lucky with the strategy, but also, I think, very good execution.
"So whenever we had an opportunity to move forward, we took it, and we had good pace at the end. Very happy with how that one went.
"Obviously I'm super pleased for the whole team, my crew, to get a podium. I think they really deserve it. And I hope we can, you know, keep that momentum going into the last four races.
"You know, with the rain overnight, slight drizzle in the morning, and a lot of dust on the track, the track was never the same.
"Basically, I think we haven't done two laps where the track was the same today. And even though the wet was tricky, I felt like qualifying was even trickier, because you have basically some train going down the track, not even a clean line, just to tyre width, going around the lap. And if you put half an inch, you know, off that line, you were basically sailing towards walls.
"So very tricky out there today. Happy we survived."

MORTARA: 'DISAPPOINTED FOR TEAM, BUT HAPPY FOR ME'
Edorardo Mortara managed to salvage a podium finish for Mahindra after his team-mate's disastrous fall from grace in Jakarta. He powered through the carnage to secure a second-place finish behind maiden winner Dan Ticktum.
Mortara said: "I'm feeling kind of disappointed for the team, because I think that more was possible for us, but actually happy for me. It's been a long time coming.
"If I look back, there were several occasions where, with a little bit more luck, we could have clinched it, but nevertheless, super happy with today's race.
"I think we managed the strategy pretty good, especially with the first attack mode.
"We got a little bit unlucky with all the safety cars Full Course Yellow, because I think I could have made good use of my attack mode and passed Dan, I was in front of him like before the second attack mode.
"Nevertheless, super happy with second place and, yeah, looking forward, actually already to the next one."

TICKTUM: 'PEOPLE FORGOT I USED TO BE QUITE HANDY'
After 60 races in Formula E, Dan Ticktum has finally earned his maiden victory in the electric racing series after powering through a challenging race in Indonesia.
Ticktum said: "I think that is the most joyous part of all this. I have to say. Like, you know, obviously, I'm incredibly I'm thrilled I've won a race.
"I've been in Formula E for nearly four years now, but the whole time, you know, I've known this is what I can do. And now I've got a good car, and I'm doing it. Lo and behold. So, yeah, very, very happy.
"I think a lot of people forgot that I used to be quite handy on the F1 ladder back in the day, and now, you know, I'm just going to start proving it again.
"The guys have been pretty remarkable, really, in the last six, seven months, the rate of improvement that we've had over the season.
"We started in quite a not great place, and I was a little bit underwhelmed at the beginning of the season, and we've chipped away. Since Miami, it's been quite a steep upwards trajectory.
"So, yeah, very, very proud of them, you know, been with them since day one here, and to be able to deliver that is very, very special, very special for them, and a good feeling for me.
"I think there were a few things in the middle of the race with the first attack mode where I feel like we didn't quite benefit. And I was sort of thinking, okay, you know, P5 is good here. Then the rest of the race was just clean, like we had a bit of fortune with the late safety car, late football course, yellows, etc. But, you know, I've had my fair share of bad luck this year and throughout my career.
"So feels quite odd to have some luck. But you know, the team put the car, you know, strategy-wise, in the right place. You know, I sort of did as I was told, and helped in that regard with the attack modes. And yeah, I think we executed it well, like practice with the track lead with these conditions, no one really learned anything. "

CUPRA KIRO RELISH IN VICTORY WHILE MORTARA AND MUELLER ROUND OFF PODIUM
Dan Ticktum soared to victory in a chaotic Indonesian race, securing Cupra Kiro's first win in 10 years.
Edoardo Mortara came home in second place after his teammate, Nyck de Vries, finished in last place after starting in third.
Nico Mueller salvaged a third-place finish for Andretti after his teammate and polesitter, Jake Dennis, dropped to 17th after a penalty and shunt on track.

TICKTUM POWERS THROUGH CARNAGE TO EARN REDEMPTIVE VICTORY FOR CUPRA KIRO
After 60 races in Formula E, Dan Ticktum finally won his first victory in the electric racing series after a chaotic race put him in the perfect position to claim his maiden win.
Ticktum picked up Cupra Kiro's first win in 10 seasons after a long win drought left the team in shambles, until today!

TICKTUM CLAIMS MAIDEN WIN FOR CUPRA KIRO
The full-course yellow ended and Dan Ticktum looked to defend hard from Edoardo Mortara's defences around the tight Turn 1. However, the two drivers were under a serious disadvantage, having run out of ATTACK MODE while drivers behind had some time left.
One of these drivers is Pascal Wehrlein in 13th place. The two drivers have pulled two seconds away from the rest of the pack, hoping to secure the lead as quickly as possible.
Race Control confirmed that the race was not extended by any laps, likely hoping to wrap up this chaotic race before more carnage unfolds.
However, it all worked out for Ticktum who powered to his first win in Formula E.

ANOTHER FULL-COURSE YELLOW, WITH TICKTUM IN THE LEAD
This is definitely not a neat and clean race as another driver, Zane Maloney, has picked up a drive-through penalty. Meanwhile, there are yellow flags being waved at Turn 1 after contact was reported between Mitch Evans and Nico Mueller.
A full-course yellow was called while Nyck de Vries was in the lead of the race, with Dan Ticktum in second and Jake Dennis in third place. The top three drivers were still in ATTACK MODE, with de Vries and Ticktum's running out shortly after the yellow was called.
It played out well for Jake Dennis, who had two minutes of ATTACK MODE left after the full-course yellow. This was until he stopped mid-track and dropped down to 18th place. Another full-course yellow was deployed as both Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Hughes were out of the race.
Dan Ticktum inherited the lead of the race, with Edoardo Mortara in second place and Sebastien Buemi in third.

SAFETY CAR IN, DE VRIES FLIES AHEAD WHILE MORE CHAOS UNFOLDS BEHIND
The Safety Car was only out for a lap before coming back in. Nick Cassidy was the real loser in this situation, as the Safety Car was deployed during his last two minutes of ATTACK MODE, wasting away his strategy.
Nyck de Vries sped ahead of Jake Dennis after the restart, but both drivers were placed under investigation for the incident that brought out the Safety Car. De Vries picked up a 10-second penalty for the aggressive move he pulled in the chaotic race
Another frantic move saw Pascal Wehrlein slip wide into the track and almost run into Oliver Rowland. The track has practically zero grip in the humid and sticky conditions, with drivers sliding all over the track. Both drivers slid wide into the corner but recovered well.
Eight drivers decided to use their final deployments of ATTACK MODE on Lap 29, including Nyck de Vries and Jake Dennis in contention for the lead of the race.

CONTACT BETWEEN DE VRIES AND DENNIS GIVES THE MAHINDRA THE LEAD, SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED
Edoardo Mortara's ATTACK MODE ran out around a minute before Jake Dennis', losing the lead quickly to the Andretti driver again. Nyck de Vries retook his second place position on Lap 21, with one minute left of ATTACK MODE.
Taylor Barnard was struggling in ninth place after finishing his ATTACK MODE, after getting stuck in the train of drivers using the same strategy.
Ahead, de Vries managed to pull off the overtake on Dennis on Lap 22. He managed to tail the Andretti through the starting straight, and went around the inside of the tight first corner.
The Mahindra driver pulled an aggressive move on Dennis, leaving it late to make the move. Dennis was then put in the awkward position of having to defend the lead, but during the crossover, the Andretti was clipped by the rear of de Vries' car.

ATTACK MODE CHAOS SHUFFLED ORDER OF TOP 10
The order at the front of the pack remained the same on Lap 17, with Jake Dennis in the lead and Nyck de Vries in second place. The action is certainly not at the front of the pack, as all the fun is happening in the midfield.
Five drivers have opted for four minutes of ATTACK MODE on Lap 17; Edorardo Mortara, Antonio Felix da Costa, Dan Ticktum, Sebastien Buemi, and Nico Mueller. All of these drivers were sitting in the top ten when they deployed the ATTACK MODE.
It was essentially a train of five ATTACK MODE drivers running in the top ten, before another two joined from the midfield. However, Mortara was able to climb up to third place on Lap 18 while setting his sights on the leading drivers.
Mortara managed to jump into the lead but Jake Dennis deployed two minutes of ATTACK MODE in an attempt to shoot back up to the lead. Nyck de Vries used four minutes, however, hoping to overtake Dennis quickly and pull away from the Andretti.
15/38
ROWLAND PICKS UP RACE-CHANGING PENALTY FOR CAUSING A COLLISION
Pascal Wehrlein was the next of the drivers to use ATTACK MODE, starting from 18th place after getting caught up in the chaos of the numerous crashes. Wehrlein has to struggle through the backmarkers, through traffic, and to his target of Oliver Rowland in 11th place.
The Porsche driver made up two places in four corners, overtaking Jake Hughes and Norman Nato quickly before he set his sights on Robin Frijns in 16th place.
Meanwhile, Rowland was targetting a top-ten finish to recover from his poor qualifying position. However his progress was hindered after being slapped with a five-second time penalty for causing a collision. This could be for two incidents, either with Maximilian Gunther or Nick Cassidy, but we are unsure of which move he picked up the penalty for.
Now Rowland really needs to get his elbows out and make up some serious places if there is any way of salvaging this race.

DENNIS LEADS WHILE MIDFIELD SEES CARNAGE
It looks like it will be a rough weekend for Penske as Maximilian Gunther rushed to the pits to repair some damage he picked up on track. Gunther was forced to retire from the race with suspected damage after a collision with Oliver Rowland.
Zane Maloney was the next of the drivers to deploy ATTACK MODE as he shot up to 14th place by Lap 8 after battling with the reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein a lap earlier. The young driver was stuck in a battle with Stoffel Vandoorne, looking to block the Maserati driver from snatching his position on track.
At the front of the pack, the order remains the same with Jake Dennis leading the group around the circuit. Nyck de Vries sits 0.3s behind the Andretti driver while Taylor Barnard is falling behind the leaders.
The frontrunners seem to be playing it safe compared to the carnage in the midfield, as a penalty has just been dished out for all the crashes at the back of the back.
Oliver Rowland is making up some positions, now up to 12th place on Lap 10 from 17th place.
5/38
VERGNE DEPLOYS ATTACK MODE, BUT CRASHES A LAP LATER
Jean Eric Vergne was the first of the drivers to take his first four minutes of ATTACK MODE on Lap 4, starting from 13th place. He immediately jumped Maximilian Gunther for 12th place on the fourth lap, hoping to shoot up to the top ten as soon as possible.
With an early ATTACK MODE strategy, drivers can climb up the order early before the powertrains begin to overheat in the Indonesian heat.
A shocker saw Vergne slow during the race on Lap 5 after colliding with Mitch Evans during his ATTACK MODE. The Penske driver picked up some front wing damage during the incident.
He rushed to the pits to repair the damage but rejoined the pack at the back.

DENNIS RETAINS LEAD WHILE DE VRIES STORMS PAST BARNARD
Jake Dennis storms into the first corner holding the lead of the Jakarta ePrix while his nearest challenger, Taylor Barnard, lost a place to Nyck de Vries on the starting straight.
The championship leader gained a place on the opening lap, climbing up to 16th place after overtaking Stoffel Vandoorne. Rowland managed to climb up to 13th place by Lap 2, setting his sights on previous Jakarta winner, Maximilian Gunther, who runs in 13th place.
At the front of the pack, Dennis leads Nyck de Vries into the fourth lap of the race with Barnard in third place. Dan Ticktum runs in fourth place ahead of Nick Cassidy who just set the fastest lap of the race.

FIVE MINUTES TO GO...
There are just five minutes to go until we see green flags at the Jakarta ePrix. Stay tuned for a thrilling tropical race!

MANAGING THE INDONESIAN HEAT
This venue is the hottest on the Formula E calendar. As the final Asian race of the season, Jakarta comes as an exciting final opportunity for drivers to show their talents in such intense conditions. Qualifying was relatively damp, with June marking the start of the rainy season in Southeast Asia.
Humidity will play one of the biggest roles in the race today. If the powertrains overheat, the race is over for a driver. These Gen3 Evo cars will need to be kept cool and hydrated throughout the race, despite the tricky conditions.
It doesn’t help that the track is challenging and requires tight and fast entries into certain corners, but only the best will be able to manage the Indonesian heat.

BARNARD’S DREAMY ROOKIE SEASON
Taylor Barnard is having one of the best rookie campaigns in motorsport. His first race in Sao Paulo saw him finish on the podium in his maiden race as a full-time driver, becoming the youngest podium sitter in Formula E history at just 20 years old.
He followed up with this glorious campaign with another podium in Jeddah Race 1, and scoring his first pole position in the second Jeddah race. Bear in mind that Jeddah was only the third round of the season!
Barnard has gone on to surprise Formula E fans with spectacular race craft and the ability to challenge world champions and front-runners. He has asserted himself as a driver to watch closely, as he has racked up five podiums in his debut season.
This campaign is nothing short of extraordinary. Today, Barnard starts in second place behind Andretti’s Jake Dennis, but it could be the day he finally scores his first win.

PORSCHE TO SNATCH THE POTENTIAL WORLD CHAMP?
There have been talks around the paddock that Porsche has been eyeing up Oliver Rowland after his amazing championship fight this year. The Nissan driver has been able to outpace and outmanoeuvre both Porsche drivers in practically every race this season, despite Pascal Wehrlein returning as the reigning world champion.
The Race reported that Porsche has held serious discussions with the British driver lately, hoping to partner Rowland with Wehrlein next season. As far as we know, Rowland signed a multi-year deal with Nissan, but the end date of his contract is not known to the public.
One of the real questions is, why would Rowland leave his potentially championship-winning team for Porsche? As iconic as Porsche is, the German manufacturer is certainly on the back foot to Nissan this season.
