EVANS SECURES FIRST WIN THIS SEASON WHILE WEHRLEIN STANDS ON PODIUM AS THE HOME HERO
It was a great day for Jaguar with Mitch Evans securing his first win since Sao Paulo in a chaotic Berlin ePrix, while his teammate Nick Cassidy finished in sixth place.
Evans held off the eager Porsche duo looking to grab points for the German team, but Pascal Wehrlein was the only Porsche driver on the podium as Antonio Felix da Costa was demoted to 10th after a penalty.
Wehrlein was the home hero around the Tempelhof Street Circuit, finishing in second place at his home race with a result that kept the championship fight alive.
Because Oliver Rowland retired in the closing stages of the race, Wehrlein is now within 50 points of the British driver in the standings.
If Wehrlein can keep this momentum going, he may have a chance to challenge the Nissan driver for the title in the final round of Season 11 in London.

EVANS: 'THIS IS A NICE OMEN'
Mitch Evans converted his pole position to a victory in Berlin, securing his 14th career win in a chaotic race around the Tempelhof Street Circuit.
Evans said: "Yeah, I wasn't expecting that today for us, since Sao Paulo.
"Tricky conditions, lots and lots of managing the race.
"I was managing some stuff towards the end of the race with the brakes, which wasn't easy.
"I was quite happy with a bit of a gap, but nonetheless, the car seemed pretty competitive all throughout the race, and good strategy calls from the team.
"Yeah, my guys really needed this. So this is for them.
"I realised Nick's results, so that's huge here, that's a good result for him, but also for the whole team.
"So obviously, got some work to do.
"But this is a nice omen for you know, and kind of a reward for everyone, all the boys and girls back at Jaguar."

WEHRLEIN: 'WE HAD A SMALL TASTE OF VICTORY'
The reigning champion, Pascal Wehrlein, had a glorious first day in Berlin, securing a podium on home soil for his German team at their home venue.
Wehrlein had the chance to snatch the win from Mitch Evans but settled for a second-place finish in the end, cutting down the gap in the standings to the championship leader, Oliver Rowland.
Wehrlein said: "Yeah, it was an important day.
"A good race. Yeah, obviously, starting from p9 and finishing second is a good result.
"But yeah, we had a small taste of the victory.
"I think pace-wise, we are clearly the quickest.
"So I tried really hard. It was close in the end.
"But yeah, I think I need to be happy with today, good points for the team, good points for the championship.
"And tomorrow is another chance."

MORTARA: LATE ATTACK MODE STRATEGY WORKED WELL
Edoardo Mortara managed to salvage a podium finish in the Berlin ePrix today after Antonio Felix da Costa was demoted from third place to 10th after receiving a five-second penalty.
The Mahindra driver climbed up from 11th to third in a thrilling race around the Tempelhof street circuit, securing the team crucial points in the closing stages of the season.
Mortara said: "Yeah, I think that the race actually went quite good for us.
"We kept one attack mode towards the end.
"And I think that was the key, actually, to pass quite a few cars, like in front of me after the safety car.
"Happy with the second podium in a row, I looked for us to take quite a bit of time to actually chase the podium now, like two in a row, and it's very positive for the team."

EVANS TASTES GLORY AROUND TEMPELHOF
Jaguar driver Mitch Evans has gotten his first taste of victory since Sao Paulo in the penultimate race weekend of Season 11. He managed to power through the iconic Tempelhof street circuit and claim a thrilling victory ahead of Pascal Wehrlein.
Wehrlein secured a podium spot at his home race for Porsche, on their home soil. The German driver had cut down the gap to Oliver Rowland in the drivers' standings, as Rowland retired from the race after suffering a shunt.
Edoardo Mortara actually comes home in third place after Wehrlein's teammate, Antonio Felix da Costa, picked up a five-second penalty for causing a collision earlier in the race.

EVANS SECURES VICTORY IN BERLIN
Mitch Evans converted his pole position to his first victory since Sao Paulo 2024, defending hard from the home hero Pascal Wehrlein who secured a second-place finish.

WEHRLEIN TAILING CLOSELY BEHIND EVANS
Pascal Wehrlein did an immaculate job at cutting the gap down to the race leader Mitch Evans, deploying his ATTACK MODE a lap later than the Jaguar driver. He did not manage to overtake Evans for the lead, but the gap was down to 0.8s as the Porsche hoped to claim a victory in Tempelhof for the eager German fans.
Antonio Felix da Costa sat comfortably in third place in the closing stages of the race, hoping to secure a 1-2 finish for Porsche on home soil.

EVANS NAILS RESTART WHILE ROWLAND RETIRES FROM BERLIN EPRIX
Green flags fly around Tempelhof and Mitch Evans immediately deploys his final four minutes of ATTACK MODE on Lap 33 as he looks to build a gap to Pascal Wehrlein in second place.
Oliver Rowland spun on track at Turn 6 and picked up damage on his front suspension, retiring from the race he could have clinched a championship during. He made contact with Stoffel Vandoorne while heading into the corner.
More chaos unfolded between Jake Hughes and another driver, with Hughes spinning at Turn 3. At the front of the pack, Maximilian Gunther briefly overtook Wehrlein for second place before the German driver deployed his final four minutes of ATTACK MODE.
At the front of the pack, Evans created a five-second gap to Wehrlein in second place on Lap 36.

BECKMANN AND SETTE CAMARA MAKE CONTACT, SAFETY CAR OUT
A yellow flag was called at Turns 3 and 4 on Lap 29 and the race was neutralised as David Beckmann picked up suspension damage after a shunt into the wall. Beckmann made contact with Sergio Sette Camara heading into the tight corner and was shunted into the wall
The safety car was brought onto the track shortly after, ruining Robin Frijns' final few minutes of his ATTACK MODE.
To add to the drama, there have been spots of rain on the track.

EVANS AND WEHRLEIN REASSUME LEAD
Oliver Rowland went into the pits for his boost on Lap 25, but he was noted by the FIA for contact with Edoardo Mortara. It does not look like Rowland will wrap up the title fight early today, as he left the pits in ninth place after the stop.
Mitch Evans and Pascal Wehrlein reassumed their positions in the lead of the race after David Beckmann went in for a pit stop. The Porsche duo were split by the Penske duo of Jean Eric Vergne and Maximilian Gunther, with Antonio Felix da Costa down in sixth place.
Frijns decided to use his final deployment of ATTACK MODE on Lap 27, hoping to get past the Penske duo into third place.

ROWLAND LEADS AFTER EVANS AND WEHRLEIN TAKE PIT STOPS
Stacking pit stops between teammates is not permitted in Formula E, so Jaguar opted to pit Nick Cassidy first, emerging from the pitlane in 21st place. It has not been a great race for Cassidy, as he was almost lapped by some of the drivers earlier in the race.
Jean Eric Vergne, Antonio Felix da Costa, and Taylor Barnard all entered the pits for their mandatory pit boost. Robin Frijns and Edoardo Mortara followed the pack on Lap 24 to claim their pit boosts for the race.
At the end of the lap, the race leaders Mitch Evans and Pascal Wehrlein both entered the pits for their boost - this gave the lead to Oliver Rowland (who has not taken his pit boost stop yet).

PIT BOOSTS BEGIN!
The track is beginning to dry as the pack has officially reached the halfway point of the race. Practice this morning was disrupted by heavy rainfall, and splotches of rain marred the track conditions at Tempelhof. Earlier in the race, spray was a massive issue, but the drivers are now beginning to understand their true pace on the dry pack.
Meanwhile, Mitch Evans holds a 3.2s lead over Pascal Wehrlein on Lap 18. However, Wehrlein is far quicker than Evans on each lap as he continues to set the fastest lap of the race.
Maximilian Gunther was the first driver on the grid to use his Pit Boost, emerging from the pitlane in 20th place. He immediately deployed his final four minutes of ATTACK MODE to make up the positions lost. Stoffel Vandoorne followed suit with this strategy.

FRIJNS ON THE HUNT FOR THE PORSCHES
Mitch Evans' five-second gap to Antonio Felix da Costa was almost immediately cut in half when Pascal Wehrlein snatched the second-placed position from his teammate. The reigning world champion managed to cut the gap down to 2.8s on Lap 14.
Robin Frijns continued his advances on the Porsche duo, overtaking da Costa for third place on Lap 15. Da Costa was then put under pressure from Jean Eric Vergne, who crept closer and closer to the Porsche.
12/39
WEHRLEIN SNATCHES SECOND FROM DA COSTA WHILE EVANS PULLS AWAY
It could be an incredible day for Porsche at their home race, with Antonio Felix da Costa and Pascal Wehrlein running in second and third place on Lap 8. The Porsche duo managed to climb up from sixth and seventh place after a tricky qualifying session, and now look to hold their grid positions before the mandatory pit stops.
The championship leader, Oliver Rowland, used four minutes of ATTACK MODE to climb up to sixth place from ninth a few laps earlier. Rowland appears to be struggling around Tempelhof, falling from third to ninth at one point.
All the drivers who have used ATTACK MODE have used four minutes in their first slots, with the strategy hoping to sandwich their pit stops with ATTACK MODE.
At the front of the pack, Wehrlein made a risky move on his teammate for second place. The German driver made a dive around the inside of da Costa at Turn 6, opening up the space for Frijns to try jump the two Porsche drivers. They managed to hold off Frijns' advances and Wehrlein pulled a second away from his teammate.

EVANS LEADS BERLIN EPRIX AHEAD OF PORSCHE DUO
With four drivers in the top five using ATTACK MODE, Robin Frijns was struggling in fifth place as he was passed by Maximilian Guenther and Pascal Wehrlein. Wehrlein managed to swap places with Guenther briefly, sitting in third place behind his teammate on Lap 5.
However, Guenther had a minute more ATTACK MODE than the drivers ahead and looked to challenge the Porsche drivers for the lead of the race.
The midfield saw six drivers using ATTACK MODE to climb up the ranks, including Edoardo Mortara, Jean Eric Vergne, Jake Hughes, Oliver Rowland, and Stoffel Vandoorne.
It is so far an unlucky race for Rowland as he is sitting in ninth place battling with Hughes for eighth place. Rowland started the race in third place and seems to be struggling with pace in Berlin.

EVANS USES ATTACK MODE TO BUILD A GAP
When the safety car went back in, Mitch Evans lost the lead to Robin Frijns briefly before snatching it back at Turn 7. Evans was the first driver in the top five to deploy four minutes of his ATTACK MODE in an attempt to pull away from the rest of the pack.
Antonio Felix da Costa followed up with four minutes of ATTACK MODE to climb up to second place, passing Frijns on Lap 3. Maximilian Gunther joined the ATTACK MODE pack, alongside Pascal Wehrlein, as the two battled for fourth place in the opening stages of the race.

EVANS RETAINS LEAD WHILE EARLY YELLOW FLAG WAS WAVED
Mitch Evans got off to an amazing start from pole position, launching off the line to defend hard against Robin Frijns' moves. It was a tricky start from Oliver Rowland, who tumbled down to fifth place in the opening sector as chaos unfolded behind.
Jake Dennis found himself stuck at Turn 15 as yellow flags were called and the race was quickly neutralised. It is suspected to be a mechanical issue with the car rather than an accident, as Dennis failed to get away from the starting line.

FIVE MINUTES TO GO...
There are just five minutes to go until the Berlin ePrix gets underway. Oliver Rowland much finish in second place or higher in order to claim the championship early this year, holding a 69-point advantage to Pascal Wehrlein in second place.

FORMULA E’S NEW DRIVING STANDARDS DROP TODAY
The FIA have released new guidelines for Formula E drivers and teams on driving standards to help stewards’ decision-making on penalties better. They have redefined what is "acceptable" on-track conduct for the drivers, after the hectic Jakarta ePrix.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said : "FIA Stewards and Officials play a crucial role in maintaining safety and fairness across all levels of motorsport. As the governing body, we are committed to equipping them with the tools, resources, and support they need to uphold the highest standards in the sport.
"The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Driving Standards Guidelines have been specifically developed for this series, through close collaboration with drivers, officials, and industry experts. This tailor-made framework ensures that driving conduct aligns with the unique demands and spirit of the championship."
The Driving Standards Guidelines were created to provide clarity on driving standards, including moving under coasting, how to rejoin the track after cutting a chicane to avoid any energy gain, how to blend following ATTACK MODE activation or the priority that applies in pit lane after PIT BOOST stops.
