Thanks for joining us, we'll be back at 2pm on Sunday with full live coverage of the race. See you then!
-
Great effort by Rosberg as well - nine hundredths is not even enough time to blink, and he's done a great job to get on the front row of the grid, as has Grosjean with his third place. That's Lotus's best qualification of the season.
-
A few nervy moments for Vettel after he effectively packed up early to save race tyres - amazing that he took pole with so much in reserve that he was able to put in just one lap in Q3.

SEBASTIAN VETTEL ON POLE FOR THE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX!

Rosberg comes within 0.091 seconds! So close! And Webber is only third fastest... Yet to come is Hamilton, but he's only fourth fastest - yet moments later Grosjean relegates him to third quickest.
0'
Webber has matched Vettel in the middle sector - Rosberg on a flyer as well and looking very fast...

As the clock ticks down, Mark Webber is out and has posted the fastest first sector - but it's the final sector where Vettel was really picking up time.

Vettel is staying in the car! That saves him a set of supersoft tyres for the race itself, but it also opens him up to a potential upset... though surely only Mark Webber has any hope of pulling it off.
2'
Vettel has just told his put crew on the radio that "I think I can improve by a tenth or two" - so will he bother going out again? Hard to see any reason for him to do so, nobody is anywhere near him at the moment.
3'
The two Ferraris are to get ou under way - but they'll get only one chance at this.
4'
Rosberg second fastest, Webber third, Hamilton fourth... and Hamilton is being told over the pit radio that he's losing 0.2 seconds to Rosberg in the final sector alone.
5'
Surely that'll be enough for Vettel, but we're pretty sure he won't stop there.

Stunning lap from Vettel! It's a 1:42.841, and he's 0.6 seconds faster than anyone else as a pack of cars cross the line. The German is simply untouchable.
7'
Vettel looks good as he gets around the half-way point...
8'
Vettel comes over the line to begin his flying lap - but I can't help thinking all he needs to do is repeat what he did in Q2 and pole will be his.
9'
Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and Esteban Gutierrez among those in the pits biding their time a bit.
10'
Bit of a different start to this Q3 session! There are six of the 10 cards lined up on the pit lane waiting for the lights to go green as we get under way. Vettel and Webber are the first two of those, clearly keen to get two flying runs in.
-
Esteban Gutierrez is into Q3 for the first time ever, and he's outqualified team-mate Nico Hulkenberg for the first time as well.
-
Vettel's 0.8 second margin at the top in Q2 is the biggest of the season so far - almost absurd how much faster he is round this track. That lap he put in looked effortlessly flawless.
-
Last man over the line is Jenson Button - who clinches the 10th and final spot, right on the edge, with his one and only flying lap of Q2! No such luck for Sergio Perez - Button's team-mate finishes down in 14th.
