So it’s almost as you were at the front but Webber has had a great start up to seventh on P11 on the medium rubber! Maldonado is down to 12th from 8th.

And they’re away this time with the race distance reduced by one lap. Great start from Hamilton and Grosjean keeps his second place.

Michael Schumacher has stopped on the grid and is being pushed off so there will be another formation lap. Schumacher will have to try and start from the pit lane.

It is Fernando Alonso’s 31st birthday today and the early news is that there could be a rain shower an hour into the race. That could give the birthday boy a chance. Only clear blue skies and sun at the moment though!

It is a baking hot day in Budapest and Red Bull aerodynamic genius Adrian Newey thinks the heat will play a part. “Lewis has been quick all weekend so he’s going to be quite troublesome. It’s very hot today so tyre degradation is going to be a factor.”
