Lewis Hamilton posts the fastest lap! The track finally clears with the yellow flag lifted to enable Hamilton to complete his final lap, and it is 1:26.836 as he pips Vettel with Webber third fastest ahead of Button and Schumacher!

We are still under the yellow flag as Hamilton backs off a good looking lap, but he has one last effort to squeeze in after the flag has been lifted...
2'
Buemi goes ninth fastest, while Massa consolidates sixth. The Williams engine is an old one, and that is confirmation.

Maldonado parks his car to the side of the final straight, and the action continues with Perez going off the track on turn six after running wide.

Ah, the yellow flag is out again! This time it is Maldonado who encounters engine trouble, and copious amounts of smoke pour out of the back of the car.

Webber's time of 1:27.428 remains the second quickest as Alguersuari continues to bemoan the damage to his car.

The yellow flag is out once more as Alguersuari veers off at turn nine, and he's damaged the rear end of his Toro Rosso.
12'
Massa catches the dirt on the inside of turn six, and he gets himself into a real muddle as he effectively aborts an attempted fast lap.
14'
Webber is caught up in a lot of untimely traffic as he looks set to pip Vettel's leading time but is unable to convert.
16'
The top three are covered by just 0.099 seconds, and this session is very finely poised.
18'
Webber goes fastest with a 1:27.428, before Vettel steams to the top of the timesheet with a 1:27.416.
20'
Vettel is now second quickest on the soft tyres with a 1:28.203, and Schumacher improves to consolidate fifth.
22'
Vettel goes fourth quickest with the fastest final sector time, and he's looking pretty ominous already.
24'
Hamilton is dominating the session right now, while Massa goes fifth quickest ahead of Webber.
26'
Hamilton pips his team-mate Button with a 1:27.515, and both McLaren drivers are looking very sprightly now on the softs.
28'
Button goes fastest with a 1:28.501, and he is also on the soft tyres as he and Hamilton make their marks.
30'
Hamilton goes second quickest on the soft tyres, and he's starting to look very good as he settles into the session.
32'
Hamilton is now on the soft tyres, but he is obstructed by Glock in front of him and has to slow down considerably through turns 10 and 11.
