Vettel finishes first then. Unfortunatey we have to say goodbye to six drivers, and we've lost a couple of big names... 17) Di Resta, 18) Pic, 19) Grosjean, 20) Bianchi, 21) Chilton, 22) van der Garde.

Can Grosjean get himself out of danger? Doesn't look like it, awful opening sector from him. Here he comes... Nope, he's had a shocker.

Times up, but the drivers can complete their current laps... Di Resta is out. Nightmare for Force India. P.17 for the Scot.

Vettel goes first with 1:22.318. He's in the next round, who fancies joining him?

It's Force India's 100th Grand Prix but they are not having a good session. Di Resta and Sutil struggling.
2'
Alonso goes top with a 1:23.224. One lap for everyone to save themselves. Grosjean back in trouble...

Button pulls himself out and goes fifth. Yellow flags out. It's all happening here.

Massa saves his skin and goes quickest in 1:23.735. Into the final few minutes. Webber beats the Ferrari man's time to go top. Button, Chilton, Vergne, Ricciardo, Bianchi, Van der Garde currently in the drop zone.

Jenson Button drops into the dreaded P.17. Just above him sits early pace setter Massa. We might lose a big name here.
6'
Vettel has a bit of a shocker at the hairpin and goes straight on. Looks like he wants to come in for new tyres. Interesting to see if Red Bull go for slicks or another set of intermediates.
7'
The other Lotus is also in danger. Grosjean is sitting in the drop zone, 17th at present. Surely we can't lose him this early on?
8'
The Lotus of Kimi Raikkonen is in trouble, sitting in 16th. But he's saved himself and moves up into fourth. No major crashes yet...
9'
The problem the teams currently face is that a dry line has emerged in the open part of the track, but in the hidden areas - those enclosed by trees - it is pretty treacherous still. Good luck making that decision, F1 gurus.

Nearly an awkward moment for Mr Alonso, but he manages to avoid the wall around the long turn two.

Webber has snuck into second. Red Bull 1-2 at present. Very congested out on track, which is drying out rather quickly. Won't be long before the slicks make an appearance.
12'
Sergio Perez next to have a little bounce across the grass and his team-mate Jenson Button almost puts it in the barrier. Good save by the Brit.

Adrian Sutil slides left and right in sector one before Hamilton trundles across the grass. Lots of action off track. Vettel goes fastest in 1:26.293.

So the time to beat in Q1 is Massa's 1:28.093. But here comes Hamilton... 1:27.3 and Rosberg... 1:26.781. They're your top three.
15'
Massa's sector split of 26 seconds isn't going to be competitive. His car is more than a bit wobbly.
16'
So no one has set a proper time yet. Massa is first to get the clock rolling, but he looks pretty cagy through turn two.
17'
So those that have elected for dry tyres are returning to the pits as there are puddles on parts of the racing line in sectors two and three.
