NETHERLANDS CRUISE INTO ROUND OF 32 WITH COMFORTABLE WIN
The Netherlands sealed a comfortable 3-1 win over Tunisia, as the Group F favourites secured their progress to the round of 32 as group winners.
After an early attack from Tunisia almost caught them off-guard, the Netherlands quickly found their form and took the lead when a Denzel Dumfries cross was turned into his own net by Ellyes Skhiri after just three minutes.
The Dutch continued to apply the pressure and eventually doubled their lead four minutes later as Brian Brobbey added another goal to his World Cup tally with a close-range volley.
It looked like the Dutch could run away with the match and score a hatful, but Tunisia kept plugging away, and eventually pulled one back on 54 minutes through Hazem Mastouri's superb header.
Any hopes of a Tunisia fightback were quickly extinguished, however, when Jon Paul van Hecke's flicked near-post header from a corner found the far corner of the net via the head of a Tunisian defender.
It ensured that there were no late nerves for the Dutch, who made a raft of substitutions to preserve some of their stars for the next round.
The Netherlands' 3-1 win means they will take on Morocco on Tuesday, June 30, while second-placed Japan progress to face Brazil a day earlier, on Monday, June 29.
For Tunisia, it was time to leave the big stage after a spirited performance in defeat. But tonight was all about the team in orange as the Dutch, and their passionate fans, celebrated progress to the knockout stages.
And that will almost certainly mean more scenes like this...

ACHOURI'S SHOT BLOCKED
Tunisia earn a late corner, and after a good delivery from Hannibal, the loose ball drops to Achouri, whose well-struck effort is on target, but blocked by a sea of Dutch legs in the heart of the penalty area.

DEPAY TRIES THE SPECTACULAR
The Dutch pour forward and Summerville digs out a peach of a cross from the by-line. The ball goes all the way to the back post, where Memphis Depay opts to go for a spectacular overhead kick rather than a straightforward header, and misses the ball completely.
The Dutch sub clearly wanted to create a special World Cup moment for himself, but instead the chance went begging.

THE GAME NEEDS A SPARK
The hydration break, followed by the raft of changes from both benches, has killed the momentum and intensity of the game a little.
It's become all very scrappy over the last 10 minutes or so. But with the Dutch 3-1 up heading towards the final five minutes of this game, they'll be quite happy to hold on to what they have.

VERBRUGGEN DENIES HANNIBAL
There's a big shout for a penalty as Dumfries gets away with a big shirt-pull inside the penalty area, but Tunisia keep the pressure on and a 20-yard strike from Hannibal is well turned over the crossbar by Dutch stopper Verbruggen.

REIJNDERS HITS THE CROSSBAR!
A deep ball into the Tunisia box prompts keeper Dahmen to come flying forward to punch clear. But the ball only goes as far as Reijders who brilliantly lofts the ball back over the Tunisian goalkeeper only to be denied by the crossbar.
It's a brilliant piece of invention by the Manchester City man, but the ball didn't quite drop in time.

GOAL! VAN HECKE'S HEADER MAKES IT 3-1
The Dutch have regained their two-goal lead, and it's a good old-fashioned near-post corner that did the job.
The delivery finds Jan Paul van Hecke at the near post, whose flicked header was heading into the far corner, but the final touch came off Ben Slimane, who tried in vain to head it clear.

GOAL! MASTOURI PULLS ONE BACK FOR TUNISIA!
Hannibal embarks on a lung-busting run through the heart of the Dutch midfield as a sweeping counter-attack from Tunisia earns them a corner.
The delivery is a good one, and Hazem Mastouri heads superbly into the bottom corner to get Tunisia on the scoreboard.
Earlier in this game it looked like the Dutch could run up a cricket score. Now Tunisia are right back in it at 2-1.

DUMFRIES DENIED!
Denzel Dumfries must have been planning his goal celebration as he lined up to volley home an easy chance for the Dutch, but Tunisian defender Skhiri appeared out of nowhere to block the goalbound effort.
It could so easily have been a third for the Dutch, but a brilliant block has kept it at 2-0... for now.
