TUCHEL CONTINUES PERFECT START TO THREE LIONS' TENURE
England made it two wins from two under Thomas Tuchel with a 3-0 victory over Latvia at Wembley.
Reece James and Eberechi Eze scored their first senior international goals, while Harry Kane was also on target for the hosts.
The Three Lions survived a scare in the 19th minute, as a breakdown in communication between Marc Guehi and Jordan Pickford presented an open goal to Vladislavs Gutkovskis. However, the Latvia striker could only hit the side-netting from a tight angle.
England struggled to find the breakthrough at the other end until the 38th minute, when James whipped an exquisite 25-yard free-kick into the top-left corner.
The hosts finally established breathing space midway through the second half when Declan Rice made a clever run to receive Morgan Rogers' pass, and squared the ball across the six-yard box for Kane to tap in.
Eze put the result beyond any doubt in the 75th minute, running at the Latvia defence and cutting inside, before finding the net via a deflection.

'I ALWAYS WANT TO IMPACT THE GAME'
Like James, Eze scored his first senior international goal, coming off the bench to seal the victory.
"I think it was a strong performance from us," he said. "We knew what we needed to do today. We did well.
"I always want to impact the game whenever I play, or however long I get. Today, it has come off, it is good to contribute."
On his goal, he explained: "I tried to create space, I tried to destabilise the defender and get my shot off. It worked."
Speaking about James' free-kick, Eze added: "He's capable of hitting dead-balls like that. We expect it with his quality."

'I'VE HAD A FRUSTRATING TWO-AND-A-HALF YEARS'
Reece James got the ball rolling for England on his first international start for two-and-a-half years.
"It's been a long time. I've had a frustrating two-and-a-half years," he said. "I'm so happy to get called up for my country again, and I'm happy to play."
On his goal, he added: "I saw the wall and I felt I could bend it around. Thankfully, I managed to hit the back of the net.
"I was a bit surprised it actually hit the net. I thought the goalkeeper maybe could have got there, but looking at the replay, it was probably tough [for him]."
Finally, on working under Tuchel, James concluded: "His ideas are clear, his goals and his targets. He's set them out from the minute he came in.
"We have one objective. Our objective starts this international window. We need to keep building right up to the World Cup."

TWO WINS FROM TWO FOR TUCHEL
While not overly spectacular, it was another routine victory at the start of the Tuchel era.
England quickly asserted their dominance on proceedings, but they were lacking the cutting edge against a stubborn Latvian defence.
Not only that, but they also survived a huge scare when Guehi and Pickford's mix-up allowed Gutkovskis an opportunity that will haunt him.
It was not until James' moment of magic that the deadlock was finally broken in the 38th minute.
Kane was in the right place at the right time to double the lead from Rice's centre on the night he matched Billy Wright's tally of 105 caps.
Eze's first senior international goal added further gloss to the scoreline, as England made it six points from six in Group K.
