KANE SCORES WINNER AS ENGLAND STRUGGLE PAST ANDORRA
Harry Kane scored the only goal as England edged out Andorra 1-0 in their 2026 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Thomas Tuchel's side maintained their perfect record in Group K, albeit after a largely underwhelming display at RCDE Stadium.
Noni Madueke and Kane both went close during the first half, as England quickly asserted themselves on the contest, but without finding the breakthrough.
Those two players combined when The Three Lions struck the opener five minutes after the break.
Kane was initially denied by Andorra goalkeeper Iker Alvarez, but was unmarked at the far post to tuck away after Madueke subsequently put the ball on a plate for him.
Alvarez produced a brilliant reflex save to deny substitute Eberechi Eze later on, but that was the closest England came to scoring a second goal, with Tuchel's men having to settle for just one against their lowly opponents.

    'WE CAN LEARN FROM IT'
Harry Kane acknowledged England weren't at their best against Andorra, but the skipper is confident his side will benefit from the lessons.
"For sure, we can play better," he said. "It wasn't one of our great performances. I don't think many people will remember this one, but we can learn from it.
"It's very hot here, probably similar conditions to next year at the World Cup, so we'll go away and analyse.
"We had good spells in the game, but just couldn't consistently produce attack after attack. But we'll take the three points and move on.
"We probably weren't good enough on the ball, not enough runs or forward passes. It is what it is."

    UNDERWHELMING FROM ENGLAND
With respect to Andorra, an England victory was a foregone conclusion before a ball was even kicked today - it was just a case of how many goals they would score.
The Three Lions wasted no time in establishing their authority on proceedings, recording 82.9% of possession in the first half and 10 shots, but without finding the breakthrough.
It eventually arrived within five minutes of the restart, but it did not open the floodgates as expected.
There is plenty for Tuchel to work on. However, most importantly, his side have collected maximum points from their opening three games in Group K.
He is also the first England boss to win each of his first three competitive matches in charge without conceding.

    EASY AS 123
Kane becomes only the second England player to score in each of a manager's first three games in charge of the Three Lions.
