The celebrations have started early in Lucerne. Italy were crowned European champions only a few months ago, but they will now have to go through the play-offs to get to the World Cup!
GAME OVER! It's over in Belfast and it has ended GOALLESS between Northern Ireland and Italy. That means Switzerland are definitely on their way to Qatar as group winners!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Switzerland 2 (90+2 mins - Remo Freuler) Bulgaria 0. A fourth goal and that could be the goal that sends Switzerland to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar! It was a powerful strike by Freuler and Switzerland are on their way! They are surely on the plane to the World Cup finals!

Ordinarily, eight minutes of stoppage time would be bad news for Switzerland, but they might want to score another one or even two! This is a chance for them to run the score up!
There will be EIGHT minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match!
If Switzerland can only finish in second place in Group C, they will have to wait until March to play the play-offs with the World Cup finals taking place over November and December 2023. If things stay like this, they qualify tonight!
Another update from Belfast!
Headed over! Itten gets on the end of a cross into the middle from Mbabu, but the former Rangers striker could only head straight at the Bulgarian goalkeeper. Half chance.
As already mentioned, Switzerland were given a reprieve by Jorginho who skied a late penalty for Italy against Yakin’s team in Friday night’s match. That kept them in the hunt for top spot in Group C.
Yakin took over from Petkovic after the end of the Euros in the summer. What is most impressive about the transition is that Switzerland have managed to keep their consistency.
Looking at Okafor’s recent record, he has two goals in four Champions League appearances (two starts) for Red Bull Salzburg this season. The 21-year-old has a great deal of potential. He showed that tonight.
Still level in the other match!
Yankov is also introduced for the final 10 minutes.

Rodriguez is a stalwart for Switzerland. The defender frequently finds his best form for his national team. More specifically, Rodriguez always impresses at major tournaments for the Swiss.
Switzerland are controlling the match right now, as they were expected to. They are one of the best teams in the international game at maintaining their team structure at all times.
It would be understandable if one or two members of the Swiss coaching staff, or even some of the players, have their phone out checking the score from Belfast during this match.
Italy now need to score TWO goals against Northern Ireland if they are to finish top of Group C. The European champions are currently being held 0-0 in Belfast!
