And indeed there it is as the game finishes goalless. The game overshadowed by a horrible challenge from Taylor on Coleman.

McGeady is furious about not getting a corner and in his anger he barges into the referee, quickly picking up a yellow card for it.

That won't do it. Bale sends his header wide.

That was close! Bale picks up the ball and goes on a run. He smashes it with his left foot and it goes just wide of the post.

Bale looks a bit sheepish as he turns to the referee after catching McClean with a high foot. He's possibly lucky to escape a second yellow there.

Ireland are going for it now. Aiden McGeady is on to take the place of Meyler.

Wales go close from a free-kick before Ireland break with McClean but his ball is headed clear by Chester. A follow-up ball is agonisingly close from finding the head of an Ireland player.

Ireland try and sneak a short corner but McClean's shot is charged down, it'll be another corner.

McClean thinks he's scored. He gets a left-footed volley away but it's blocked and he gets another one on the rebound with his right and this time it is deflected inches wide.

The TV cameras are choosing not to show a replay of that challenge, that'll give you an idea of how bad it was.

Right a couple of changes in the wake of that challenge. Ledley comes off with Jazz Richards coming on to play in defence whilst Cyrus Christie replaces Coleman.

He's been taken off on a stretcher with some oxygen and the entire ground applauds him. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

This is really bad, Coleman is still down and isn't moving. He looks distraught and his team-mates are in shock.

Oh that's horrendous. A real horror challenge from Neil Taylor as he comes in high and late on Coleman.
