Evening all! This is a crucial game for both sides, so we should be in for quite an evening.

Brady is late on Milivojecivc then Matic, one after the other. He avoids a booking, but Serbia will stick the ball in the box, 35 yards out, close to the left touchline. Tadic, though, picks out Clark, and he heads clear.

Meyler finds Walters in centrefield and he spreads left to Long, sliding a lovely pass between Vukovic and Maksimovic. Long could attack his man, but 25 yards out, he lets fly a curler which is on target but straight at the keeper, who turns over the top easily enough. The corner comes to nowt.

The crowd are doing the Iceland clap. "Ferocious".

Not much going on here.

Walters finds McClean, who takes aim from 30 yards and is lucky to miscue against Maksimovic, the ball dribbling wide enough of goal to arrange Ireland a corner. Nothing comes of it.

This tweet feature two exaggerations. Can you spot them?

Mitrovic paces down the left, Christie in pursuit, and he does well to catch him at cost of a corner, which comes to nothing.

Long takes the ball back to goal and sways one way then the other before running into Matic. He wants a free-kick but was already on his way down.

Stojkovic takes a tricky backpass on his chest, flicks it up and slices clear. That was dangerous, and he dealt with it pretty well.

GOAL! NO GOAL! Ireland work the corner short and Brady then curls into the box, where Duffy heads home from close range. But both he and Long had strayed offside. The decision took long enough for someone to fire up the goal music.

Brady and Christie link up nicely down the right, Christie shoving the ball past Kolarov and chasing after it; Ivanovic humps clear for a throw, from which Duffy's presence earns a corner.

McClean barges through Rukavina and narrowly escapes a booking which would see him banned for Moldova. But they've still a free-kick to defend from roughly halfway between the touchline and point of the box; Tadic curls in and Duffy glances behind. The ensuing corner is amusingly poor.

Rukavina and Tadic are playing very wide, which is making it hard for Ireland's diamond. Well, hard to get the ball, at least, which might be part of plan: soak it up, then break in numbers.

Walters is indeed playing up front, with Hoolahan at the point of a diamond.

Rukavina finds Tadic down the right and he lays back for Matic, on the edge ... Ireland are in big trouble here. But Matic goes for certainty, side-footing hard but straight. The shot is therefore saveable, but before Randolph needs to do anything, Brady flies into a brilliant block.

It looks like McClean is playing narrow, as a wide attacker rather than a winger.

Hoolahan immediately finds the ball on the right touchline and cleverly protects it with his body before laying it back. Nothing comes of it, but Ireland will be pleased to see him asserting himself.

Serbia set us away, so they do.
