And there is the full-time whistle. It has not been the Spain we are used to, but they have got their ninth win from ten games in Group G. Julen Lopetegui will not be overwhelmed by this display, but their excellent record goes on in qualifiers!

Isco tries one too many twists and turns as he tries to get past Keltjens in the box. Calls for a handball too with the Israel man on the floor but nothing is given.

THREE minutes of added time.

That's the Spain we're used to seeing! But the flag is up to deny Asensio from scoring their second. It's a typically intricate passing move, but as it's rolled over for Asensio to tap in, the flag goes up. He had no need to be offside either!
87'
Meandering towards the full-time whistle then. Just the Illarramendi screamer which separates the two sides. A disappointing game.

You look around this Spain side and wonder who is actually guaranteed a place on the plane for Russia. Few will have worked their way into the starting XI plans. But there are plenty of months to go before we get serious about the World Cup proper.

Natcho over the Israel free-kick out wide. But his cross is blocked by Isco and Spain look to counter... No dice though as Aspas runs into a brick wall.
80'
My heart is somewhat broken as I have to say there was a slight deflection on that shot from Illarramendi, but only visible after the umpteenth replay. As you were then, football is a lie, there is no joy left.

I thank you, Mr. Illarramendi. For after 76 miutes of turgid football, you have produced a moment of magic. It's a stunner. There's no two ways about it. Could be some way to seal a ninth win this campaign for Spain.

WHAT A PEACH FROM ILLARRAMENDI!
A goal that defies the game it featured in. It's a simply stunning half-volley from Illarramendi from 25 yards out. A corner is headed out and falls into his path, he lines up the shot and hits it perfectly into the top corner. Brilliant technique.

Quite easily the biggest cheer of the night as Benayoun comes on. Almost beating the one he got before the match when collecting his trophy to celebrate 100 caps for Isreal!

And here is the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool man!

Isco sizes this one up... Can he work the goalkeeper? He can't. It's into the Israel wall.
Israel go on the counter with Ben Chaim, but his cross cannot find Hemed in the middle. Looks like Benayoun will be coming on for the hosts!
71'
Nice turn from Aspas and he works himself some space in the Israel box, but he can't find a man in white. Israel go on the attack, but Spain win it back and Isco is brought down 25 yards out or so... Big chance this.
69'
Some nice touches already from Isco. A ball comes over the top for Aspas, who attempts the spectacular, but his overhead kick attempt fails to connect. Nice try at least.
67'
Another sub for the hosts as Bitton makes his way onto the field of play.

And that's Aduriz's evening over. In comes Isco, who has five goals so far this campaign. Hopefully he can produce a moment of magic for us!

CHANCE! What a bizarre moment this is! It looks like Asensio was offside but play goes on, and his low ball into the middle is not met by Aduriz, despite the forward appearing to be right there to tuck it away!

Asensio is within a whisker of beating the offside trap which would have put him through on goal but alas the flag goes up.
