Lallana trying to make things happen for the hosts. Firstly his cross almost finds the head of Walker, while moments later he manages to squeeze out a shot but it's deflected and straight at Setkus in the Lithuania goal.

NIce play from Sterling who then feeds Bertrand down the left, but his low cross is cleared out and England must start again from the back with Stones.

Decent chance for England to counter and they have the right man on the ball in that aspect with Walker carrying it forward at some speed. He tries to pick out Defoe but his pass cannot find its intended target. Suddenly 10 minutes have passed and there's little to report!

Well that was pretty poor.... A routine from the training ground as Lallana rolls it foward to Alli on the edge of the area, but his flick is misplaced and bobbles out for a goal-kick.

Solid start from England but nothing too threatening so far. Free-kick now though which Lallana is over...

All of England's width will come from their full-backs this afternoon. Walker one of the furthest forward down the right but the Tottenham defender gives away the foul and hands possession back to the visitors.

All England so far but they're just passing it around nicely. No rush just yet as Stones and Keane look to build from the back.

Right then. Time for football. It's Defoe who gets us underway at Wembley!

Ahead of kick-off, a minute's silence to remember those who lost their lives in the terror attack in London on Wednesday.

Great to see young Bradley Lowery with Jermain Defoe - and Joe Hart has even let the striker lead England out with five-year-old Bradley. Lovely touch!
Time for the national anthems...

And there will be short odds on Defoe getting on the scoresheet...
With Lallana, Alli and Sterling behind the Sunderland striker, there's no shortage of quality to prove him with the service needed.

Just 10 minutes until we get underway at Wembley. A wee look at the bookeis and you'll find England are overwhelming favourites for this one at 1/10 to win.
Fancy a Lithuania win? 45/1 in some places. FOURTY FIVE!

Worth watching out for Lithuania's Fiodor Cernych, who has scored in three of their qualifying games so far. The captain scored a terrific effort against Scotland last year in the 2-2 draw, and the 25-year-old will want to shine on the biggest stage of them all this afternoon.

How time flies... Captain for the day Joe Hart is making his 70th appearance this afternoon. Just four caps away from Gordon Banks, though quite some distance away from Peter Shilton's 125.

STATE OF PLAY
Here's how Group F looks ahead of this afternoon's action...
Scotland host Slovenia at 7.45pm this evening, while Slovakia travel to Malta. England are well placed and a win for both Home Nations would leave Southgate's men sitting very pretty at the top. You feel Scotland must win this afternoon to keep their qualification hopes alive - and you'll be able to follow that match on Eurosport later!
