GOAL - RONALDO GIVES PORTUGAL THE LEAD! A frantic first five minutes of the half ends when Ronaldo is set clear by a great pass by Moutinho, and he hammers past Isaksson with his left foot.

And now Sweden miss a big chance - Ibrahimovic somehow hooks the ball round his marker at the byline, and Larsson for some reason takes a touch six yards out, and he can't put the shot in.

Another great chance for Ronaldo - Coentrao sets him up with a fine run, but Isaksson makes a save down low as Ronaldo bears in on goal. SHould have scored.

Elmander is penalised after going up rathe robustly on Alves. They have words afterwards.

The teams are back out for the second-half, and Sweden are making a change - Anders Svensson replaces Rasmus Elm in midfield.

And that's half-time. A quiet opening 35 minutes, but the game came to life in the closing ten. Join us for the second-half.

Olsson launches a long free-kick from halfway into the box, and despite some fairly frantic retreating at the far post, Patricio saves.

Larsson puts a dangerous cross over, Nilsson heads it back from the far post but Ibrahimovic blasts the volley high and wide.

Olsson does well as Sweden try to attack down the left - his low cross is blocked, and it goes out for a corner.

Another chance for Ronaldo, and that was the easiest of the lot. Nani cuts it back from the byline, but despite making room with some clever movement, Ronaldo shanks his shot high and wide.

Better from Sweden - Ibrahimovic takes the ball down on his chest around 30 yards out, he lays off to Kallstrom but his low and powerful shot is saved by Patricio.

Veloso zips it over with some panache, but Isaksson does well to hold on, underneath his crossbar.

Portugal dominating now. They have a corner on the right.

The Swedish crowd aren't happy - they seem to think Portugal should have put the ball out with Elmander on the floor thanks to catching Pepe's trailing leg after a clearance, but Portugal attacked instead. And since Sweden had the chance to put it out themselves, it's difficult to see why they're so irked.

Great chance for Almeida. Portugal counter through Ronaldo down the right, he dinks over a cross to the far post, but the big striker can only head into the side-netting.

The game is opening up a bit more now. Portugal could be ahead and are the better team.

Another close one from Ronaldo. Perreira belts a low ball across the area, around 12 yards out. Ronaldo gets there but it's incredibly difficult to keep down, and it flies just over the bar.
