FULL TIME: David Alaba's goal six minutes from time means that Ireland's hopes of qualification for Brazil 2014 are all but mathematically over. It is Goodnight Vienna, as it ends Austria 1-0 Ireland.

Coleman concedes a free-kick down the left for a foul on Fuchs. Arnautovic's shot is easily parried by Forde.

Forde and Dunne make a mess of a cross from the left, but Ireland clear.

Three minutes of additional time.

McClean goes through an Austrian player and wins a free-kick. Alaba's free-kick is hopelessly wide.

Baumgartlinger goes down under a challenge from Walters and wins the free-kick.

Coleman concedes the free-kick as he pulls back Fuchs in frustration down the right channel.

Wilson concedes a throw down the right. Garics' throw is poor and Forde takes the goal-kick.

McClean overhits a cross from the left over the crossbar. Trap is in his technical area, looking glum.

The ball loops up for Wilson, who shoots just wide from 35 yards.

GOAL: David Alaba opens the scoring, crashing the ball into the roof of the net. Wilson could not get a clear connection on Fuchs' cross from the left as he attempted to clear and the Bayern Munich man lofts the ball over Ireland goakeeper Forde and into the net.

Coleman's ball into the box is miscontrolled by Keane, who looks to the referee hopefully.

Green makes another great tackle in the middle of the park on Janko.

Long and Fuchs clash, but the linesman rules no foul, then Trap decides to bring Sammon on for Long.

Coleman tries to run through a host of bodies, but Arnautovic is able to intercept.

Harnik has the ball in midfield and McClean makes a great tackle to win the ball. The Austria fans boo, believing that it was a tackle from behind.

McClean's free-kick is awful and cleared. Austria break through Baumgartlinger but Coleman intercepts.

A free-kick to Ireland, as Walters win the ball under pressure from Fuchs.

GOALLINE CLEARANCE: Forde clears another corner with his fists, then Coleman charges down an effort from Harnik from almost his own line.

Corner to Austria as Coleman clears under pressure from Alaba. Arnautovic gets in a header from the second ball and Green can clear from the near post.
