Arsenal to move Bayern Munich UEFA Women's Champions League clash from Emirates after clash with men's team

Arsenal's highly-anticipated UEFA Women's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich has been moved from the Emirates - with tickets having been sold since September - after a clash with the men's team. The match was slated for December 18, but will see a change of venue with Mikel Arteta's side facing Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup quarter-final on the same day.

Arsenal Women have been forced to change venue for their UEFA Women's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on December 18, after a scheduling clash with the men's team.
Tickets had been on sale for the UWCL match since September, as the north London club continues to host the women's team's key matches at the 60,704 capacity stadium.
But after the men's team secured a home draw against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup quarter-final, scheduling issues emerged, with the Eagles only able to play on the same night as the highly-anticipated clash against Bayern.
Palace could only fulfil the fixture on the Wednesday (December 18) because two rest days are required between their Premier League clashes against Brighton & Hove Albion on December 15 and Arsenal again on December 21.
And Meadow Park, the 4,500-seater where Arsenal Women play many of their domestic home matches, is not a suitable alternative as it does not currently meet UEFA regulations.
Arsenal Women said on X: "We are liaising with UEFA and further details regarding our UWCL match against Bayern Munich will be announced in due course.
"This is following the scheduling of the Carabao Cup quarter-final on December 18 at Emirates Stadium."
Arsenal were among the first clubs in England to share their home stadium between the men's and women's teams, and the club announced ahead of the 2024/25 campaign that the Emirates would host 11 Arsenal Women matches.
Their move to the north London stadium has drawn record-breaking crowds for women's football, including a WSL-best of 60,160 in the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Manchester United in February. There was also a bumper crowd of 60,050 in their 1-0 victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur in March.
TNT Sports will show over 500 matches from the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League across the 2024-25 season. The streaming home for TNT Sports in the UK is discovery+, where fans can enjoy a subscription that includes TNT Sports, Eurosport and entertainment in one destination.
