England's Alex Greenwood was stretchered off with a serious head injury during the 3-2 Nations League defeat to Belgium. A collision with Jassina Blom left the defender needing extensive treatment on the field and lead to a 13-minute delay. England's Lucy Bronze says her team-mate is "doing well" while manager Sarina Wiegman also provided an update on Greenwood.

'Very exciting' - Wiegman on leading Team GB at 2024 Paris Olympics

England's Alex Greenwood is "alright" after being substituted with a head injury during the Lionesses 3-2 defeat to Belgium in the UEFA Nations League, says manager Sarina Wiegman.
The defender suffered a clash of heads with Jassina Blom and her team-mates were visibly worried as she was given oxygen during 13 minutes of treatment on the field.
The 30-year old was eventually stretchered off the pitch midway through the first half, and she received a standing ovation from all four corners of the Den Dreef Stadion.
Greenwood, who was replaced by Chelsea's Jess Carter, was winning her 85th cap for the Lionesses.
Asked about Greenwood after the game, England manager Wiegman told ITV: "She’s alright. She’s walking, so she’s alright.
"But she had to go off, that’s what everyone saw."
England defender Lucy Bronze added: "I’ve been told that she’s doing well and that she’s OK.
"It was just not nice to see her in pain. Obviously when it’s a head injury, it’s something you can’t take lightly.
"The medical team were superb on the pitch in making sure she was safe. I wish her a good recovery."
The 3-2 defeat leaves England in third place in Group A1, three points behind leaders the Netherlands, who beat Scotland 1-0.
Those teams provide the final opposition for the Lionesses in the Nations League group stages, and Wiegman's side must win both fixtures to have any hope of reaching the semi-finals and qualifying Team GB for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
"We’ve still got a good chance," continued Bronze.
"We’re playing our next game against Holland at Wembley, a stadium where we like to step up.
"We’ll put this game to bed, analyse it properly, the mistakes we made and look forward to playing Holland and Scotland, two really tough games.
"We’ve left ourselves with a little bit more to do, but it’s not impossible."
Wiegman added: "We have work to do. We always have work to do. But we have put ourselves in a hard position at the moment."
