They need to win and they currently trail 1-0 ... they score, 1-1. But surely that's the end.

Belgium played well enough today; they'll struggle to go further, but this is an excellent effort. Italy, meanwhile, were largely poor in all three games, so can have no complaints about what's befallen them.

BELGIUM HAVE MADE THE QUARTER-FINALS OF A MAJOR TOURNAMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME! (Assuming Iceland don't score twice in the last three minutes of injury-time against France).

And plays into Bonfantini, who lays off to Giacinti ... who slices wide. That's nearly it.

They've deserved this, on balance - the goal was a good one and they've been solid since scoring it. Italy have 90 seconds to score twice.

But this time, Delacauw heads clear.
