FOUR MINUTES TO GO!
And the players are on the pitch! Denmark's anthem is underway.

FIVE MINUTES TIL KICK OFF!
Who do you think is going to win it? I'm going to make a bold claim here and say I think Denmark, with rather less pressure on them than Germany, could do it. Got an opinion on this or anything else about this match tonight? Hit me up on Twitter, where I am @inspireajen.

ONE TO WATCH?
Signe Bruun starts for Denmark tonight as the second highest scorer in qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, with 12 goals. In her day job, the 24-year-old 2021 Danish Player of the Year plays for French powerhouse, Lyon.

POPP ON THE BENCH
A name many of us will recognise is Alexandra Popp, who plays for Wolfsburg. She’s on the bench tonight, despite being the most experienced member of the Germany side. However, she re-joined the squad in April after sitting out almost a whole year, due to a knee injury.

THE VENUE TONIGHT...
Is a SOLD OUT Brentford Community Stadium. Tickets for the tournament have sold incredibly well, prompting some people (ahem, myself) to ask why bigger stadia weren't used, but these decisions were made a while ago, now, allowing a year's postponement due to Covid, and it'll be a great atmosphere in West London tonight.

ARE DENMARK TOURNAMENT DARK HORSES?
Germany can’t NOT be one of the tournament favourites to win, with pedigree like that, but Denmark could be a force to be reckoned with. Certainly, they have some big name players, such as Nadia Nadim, who plays in the US for Racing Louisville but is on the bench tonight, and Pernille Harder who will be very at home in West London, a stone’s throw from her club, Chelsea.

GERMANY ARE THE ONES TO BEAT...
Some more stats - because we love a stat, right?

PRESSURE ON EURO GIANTS GERMANY
Since the tournament’s inception, back in 1984, Germany have won the title a massive eight out of twelve times. It was, however, Denmark who knocked them out of the tournament in 2017 – Denmark went on to be runners up, that year.
