Away we go!
There's a good row in the ground, and I think my eyes are on the verge of sweating.
Italy's anthem is suuuuuch a banger.
And the teams!
Here come the officials!
I kept this from you - please forgive me - but this match is only available on the red button, which I have downstairs where my wife is watching telly, but not on the computer which I use. I was concerned, but you'll be relieved to hear that I've resolved the problem, and am now watching people boozing in stands, which is lovely to see.
I enjoyed this.
I don't know, maybe Zaniolo, who's injured, will be that in time. But once upon a time, they had Baggio and Zola in the same squad, and Del Piero not far behind.
When did Italy last have a brilliant attacking player? What is going wrong?
Apropos of nothing.
Bosnia drew 0-0 with Netherlands, which is to say Frank de Boer's revolution continues apace.
It's hard to see either of these teams doing much in the summer. Poland have a puncher's chance of beating anyone because they have Lewandowski but that's about it, while Italy lack the class to compete against the best beyond trying to italy them. Verratti is a brilliant player, but otherwise, it's trying to find a way rather than imposing a way.
What a player.
Once upon a time...
Elsewhere, England nudged by Belgium earlier this afternoon.
What a goal!
Acerbi is the only Italian who keeps his place following Wednesday's 6-0 defeat of Moldova; Donnarumma, Bonucci, Jorginho and Barella are those who were picked for last month's win in Amsterdam.
Most noteworthily, Robert Lewandowski makes his first international appearance since scoring in the win over Slovenia last November. As I remember it, he is quite good as association football.
