DEWSBURY-HALL SENDS CHELSEA THROUGH
Chelsea progressed into the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a second-half winner to beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate.
Enzo Maresca’s side came into the game with a healthy 2-1 lead from the first leg and the boss made several changes.
However, the hosts failed to have a shot at goal in the first half as Copenhagen gained confidence.
The introduction of Cole Palmer and Marc Cucurella at half-time changed the game as Chelsea instantly became a threat.
Trevoh Chalobah was first to test the visitors' goal before Copenhagen had a key chance themselves, but Viktor Claesson fired wide.
However, any nerves were eased on 55 minutes as Dewsbury-Hall charged his way into the box and beat the goalkeeper.
Chelsea should have increased their advantage as Pedro Neto, Christopher Nkunku and Palmer saw efforts saved.
However, with Copenhagen lacking power in the final third, Chelsea were comfortable winners.

PUNDITS TIP PALMER TO FIND FORM
With 10 games without a goal Cole Palmer is tipped to find his scoring form again.
Eni Aluko said: "He must be thinking, 'what am I doing different to what I did before?'
"He doesn't look different. He's still getting in them pockets, he's still taking players on.
"He’s putting in great balls. Six months ago he’s getting in the same position and it goes in. As a forward, it's quite frustrating, sometimes it's just it's just pot luck."
Joe Cole said: "What he's done in the last year in 18 months at Chelsea, that's ridiculous what he's done.
"He's going through a little dry spell, and he just needs to be calm and smooth."

DEWSBURY-HALL REFLECTS ON WINNER
Dewsbury-Hall sent his side through to the quarter-finals and reflected on the result in an interview with TNT Sports.
He said: "It was nice to get a lead in the first leg to bring to Stamford Bridge.
"It was a bit scrappy at times, but we got the clean sheet, won the game and are into the quarters."
On the goal: "I saw a little gap and tried to jink my way through and managed to scramble it through. When I got through I looked to pick my spot and luckily it nestled into the bottom corner.
"After training most days I’m practicing finishes like that. It’s just a product of repetition on a daily basis."
On being favourites for the tournament, he said: "Chelsea has won the Champions League and Europa League. It would be stupid of us to say that we can win this.
"It’s the belief that we have in the squad. Three more rounds and hopefully we’ll be lifting the trophy."

CHELSEA FAIL TO CONVINCE BUT PROGRESS
Dewsbury-Hall came up with enough to allow Chelsea to progress during an improved second half.
Bringing Palmer and Cucurella on at half-time made a huge difference as Chelsea did enough to progress.
However, the home fans will reflect on a very poor first half in which they failed to have a shot at goal.
