GLASNER: WE MUST LEARN FROM DEFEAT
Asked whether he is questioning how Crystal Palace lost, manager Oliver Glasner told TNT Sports: "Exactly, but it happened, and that’s European football, and when you play the first time, maybe you have to learn that small mistakes get punished.
"We had enough chances to win the game, that's the story of not just today, but for many games. I think we had four or five big chances to score, but we didn't and made one mistake, and then you can lose a game like this, and it's now for us to learn from this and keep heads up."
On whether Jaydee Canvot will learn from his mistake, Glasner said: "Yes, definitely it's part of the game, I didn’t speak to him right now, nobody’s blaming him, it just happens, and then the finish was excellent.
"We are frustrated and it hurts, but we keep going, we have enough games, the way we played is okay, maybe not a top, top performance.
"When it's such a deep block, every foul, every ball out, [they] waited very long to stop the rhythm, but this is a very experienced team, and that's why we lost.
"You have to learn from it, you can always talk about it, but you have to get the experiences, all of us.
"It’s the same when you're telling your children about your experiences, hoping they won’t make the same, but they have to it’s part of life, it’s part of development.
"Of course, we didn't want to lose and we don't want these kinds of experiences, but it's part of life and part of football, this won't be any problem for us, we will stick together now."

GUEHI: DON'T BLAME CANVOT FOR LOSS
"I can't really blame him, I thought he played well today, I thought he did well, so that's not down to him, that's every single one of us," Marc Guehi said on TNT Sports.
"It starts from the ball going to [Henderson] thats not on him we’ll all take that burden and we’ll move on from that one.
"Today was a team that sat back, they did well, they frustrated us, even though they did that, we still could have scored, so it’s an opportunity for us to learn."
"It’s all good, you get to learn, it's a new experience for the football club, so hopefully we get more experiences where we can grow from these games in these competitions, so it’s good."

On what they will learn, he said: "Maybe staying calm in difficult situations, a lot of frustration, not just us on the pitch, every single person in the stadium.
"All of us can learn from that, staying calm and just focusing on ourselves. The better we can do that, the better we can move forward."
Asked about feeling nerves from the fans, he said: "When it’s 0-0 and you feel like you should be winning, it's understandable the frustrations, not just the fans, even us on the pitch.
"Everyone had the same feeling, so I think all of us, it's an opportunity to learn and understand that these European games are tough, it doesn't matter who comes and who we play against, it's a good learning opportunity."

WARD: END PRODUCT COST PALACE
Former Crystal Palace Joel Ward felt his old side did not have luck on their side as they suffered a shock defeat to AEK Larnaca.
"It’s a tough defeat to take, the chances were there, I think the stats show that, I think it's just the end product in the end, there were a couple of great saves as well," Ward said.
"It was one of those nights, it wasn't necessarily going our way, and the rub of the green wasn’t quite with us.
On the fans watching a first home defeat since February, he said: "They’re not used to it, it comes as a bit of a shock, you can’t underestimate any team that comes here, especially in this Conference League.
"They came here and made it difficult for Palace, they caused us issues in terms of trying to unlock them, they parked a lot of players behind the ball.
"You can see the celebrations here from Larnaca, they see this as a huge result coming to Selhurst, to a Premier League side, and we’re going to have to realise that every team coming here, it's almost their cup final."

LARNACA SHOCK PALACE TO CLAIM FAMOUS WIN
Cypriot side AEK Larnaca were 16/1 shots to beat Crystal Palace, but after being dominated in the first half they won at Selhurst Park thanks to a fine strike from Riad Bajic.
Masters of the counter-attack in the Premier League, Palace found life more difficult creating clear chances when dominating possesssion but, after scoring his side's first goal in Europe last week and a hat-trick at the weekend, Jean-Philippe Mateta spurned a number of chances to hit the target.
On the stroke of half-time he shot from eight yards out into the ground and the ball looped up and clipped the top of the crossbar, then 20 minutes from time Eddie Nketiah pulled the ball back to him six yards out but his effort was blocked by goalkeeper Zlatan Alomerovic.
The winning goal emanated from an error from young defender Jaydee Canvot who gave the ball away 25 yards out to Marcus Rohden who passed wide to Bajic and he fired a left-footed effort first time into the top-left corner giving Dean Henderson no chance.
With a win and a defeat Palace are in 16th place in the early stages of the Conference League, while Larnaca are level on points at the top with Fiorentina.
