English sides have enjoyed some incredible moments in the UEFA Conference League since the competition was introduced ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
West Ham won the second edition of the tournament during the 2022/23 season, bringing their 43-year wait for a trophy to an end.
Then, last term, Chelsea showed off their strength in depth as they cruised to the final before dispatching Real Betis in the climax of the competition.
The Conference League is back this season, with a host of new sides eager to add some silverware to their trophy cabinet.
With that in mind, here is everything you need to know to keep up with the action.

Who are the Premier League teams playing?

FA Cup winners Crystal Palace will be the English hope in the Conference League this time around.
The club may feel hard done by following their controversial demotion from the UEFA Europa League, but The Eagles stand a real chance of making it to the final in Leipzig.
Their manager, Oliver Glasner, possesses a genuine European pedigree, having guided Eintracht Frankfurt to glory in the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League.
Furthermore, despite Eberechi Eze’s departure to Arsenal, the South London side have a squad bursting with quality.
They avoided a potential banana skin in their play-off against Fredrikstad, booking their place in the league phase with a 1-0 aggregate win over their Norwegian rivals.

When does the league phase begin?

Every side in the league phase will play six fixtures, three at home and three away.
Matchday 1 will take place on October 2, with the second fixture set to be held three weeks later on October 23.
The Conference League sides will play two more matches in November, with Matchday 3 scheduled for November 3 and Matchday 4 set for November 27.
The league phase will draw to a close in December, with league phase fixtures on December 11 and December 18.

The last 16 will then get underway on March 12, with the second leg pencilled in for March 19.
The two-legged quarter-finals will be held on April 9 and April 16.
The semi-finals will then be played on April 30 and May 7, with the final scheduled for May 27.
