Could Alexander-Arnold play for Real at Club World Cup?

Real Madrid want to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of this summer's Club World Cup.
Carlo Ancelotti's side take on Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal on June 18 in Miami, and Los Blancos desperately want the England international in their ranks before then, according to the Mail.
However, Alexander-Arnold's contract at Liverpool does not expire until June 30.
"Real Madrid are exploring whether they can bring forward the expected transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer so he can play for them in June’s Club World Cup," reads the article.
"Alexander-Arnold’s deal at Liverpool does not expire until June 30 – so Real would have to pay to get him out of his contract early if they want him to play from that game onwards.
"There is a window from June 1 to June 10 for clubs to make additions to their squad or extend the deals of existing players. For example, Manchester City could offer Kevin De Bruyne a short-term extension to his expiring contract so he can play in the competition.
"Confidential has been told that Real are extremely keen for Alexander-Arnold to play in the tournament if he ends up signing for them, but they would require Liverpool to play ball and release him early – which is easier said than done."

Isak rejects initial Newcastle approach

Alexander Isak has rejected an initial contract offer from Newcastle, according to a report in the Express.
The Sweden international is in demand this summer and speculation surrounding his future will only intensify as the summer approaches.
According to the latest gossip, Newcastle are now looking at possible replacements should Isak depart the club.
"Newcastle have paused contract discussions with Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexander Isak after he rejected an initial offer, according to reports," reads the article.
"They have reportedly been in talks over a potential new contract, but those discussions are said to have been put on hold.
"Isak did not accept Newcastle's initial proposal, according to CaughtOffside, leading to a breakdown in talks with The Magpies. They are now believed to be assessing their next move with club chiefs fully aware of the interest coming from Arsenal and Liverpool.
"The forward remains tied down to Newcastle until 2028 and is not believed to have a release clause in his current deal. However, it has been reported that a huge nine-figure bid might be enough to force a move before the start of next season.
"Newcastle are thought to be considering potential replacements, having identified Viktor Gyokeres as the ideal candidate."

Onana rejects Saudi move to fight for place at Man Utd

Andre Onana is set to reject a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League as he bids to fight for his place at Manchester United.
The Mirror claims the goalkeeper is desperate to remain at Old Trafford despite interest from Saudi Arabia.
"Andre Onana will snub a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to remain as Manchester United's No. 1 goalkeeper," reads the report.
"Onana has been linked with a summer move to the Saudi Pro League after another turbulent season at United, following his inconsistent debut campaign.
"Onana's position as United's first-choice keeper was not thought to be under threat, with Amorim looking to address more urgent areas in his team.
"But with Onana expected to be targeted by the Saudi Pro League this summer, United could opt to cash in on the 28-year-old Cameroon star and bring in a replacement.
"Despite that, Onana is understood to want to remain at United beyond this summer and will only go if the club tell him they want to offload him."

Saints want £100m for Dibling

Southampton have set a £100 million price tag on Tyler Dibling, it has been claimed.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham have been linked with the teenager, but it will take a huge offer to tempt him away from The Saints.
In what has been a miserable season for the Premier League strugglers, the performances of Dibling has given the club a rare source of encouragement.
"Southampton are ready to demand a staggering fee of more than £100 million for Tottenham and Manchester City target Tyler Dibling," states The Telegraph.
"The highly rated attacking midfielder will be one of the most sought after talents in this summer’s transfer window but Southampton’s current valuation is leaving Premier League clubs frustrated.
"Dibling has made only 25 appearances in the Premier League and appears certain to be sold this summer with Southampton all but relegated to the Championship. They are expecting strong interest in the summer but are prepared to adopt a hardline stance on his future, with their valuation higher than the £100 million paid by Manchester City to Aston Villa for Jack Grealish in August 2021.
"Tottenham have identified the 19-year-old as a priority target and made enquiries to sign him in the January transfer window."
