Burnley name price for Berge

Burnley want around £30 million for Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge, according to The Sun.
The paper reports that Manchester United want the player, but they currently value him well under Burnley’s asking price.
The paper notes: “Burnley will demand up to £30m for Sander Berge with Manchester United eyeing a bid for the Norwegian.
“The Old Trafford club are already understood to have made contact with Berge’s representatives.
“And the Clarets, following relegation from the Premier League, would be willing to sell the 26-year-old holding midfielder.
“Despite dropping into the Championship, Burnley will refuse to sell him for cheap.
“Sun Sport understands that United would be prepared to pay £20m for the player signed for £12m from Sheffield United a year ago.”

Arsenal face Barca in Merino battle

The Mirror believes that Barcelona are now ready to challenge Arsenal for Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season, and Mikel Arteta could lose out to the Spanish side.
The paper writes: “Mikel Merino could still be offered the chance to join Barcelona this summer now that the Spanish giants have failed to sign other targets.
“The Spain midfielder is in demand this summer after playing in his country's successful Euro 2024 campaign with Arsenal and other clubs in Europe sweet on the idea of signing the 28-year-old.
“Arsenal are expected to step up their interest in the playmaker after concluding a deal for Italy defender Riccardo Calafioro and Merino is thought to be Mikel Arteta's priority target. He would, however, also be receptive to an offer from Barcelona.”

Dumfries holds out for MAN UTD MOVE

Denzel Dumfries wants to move to Manchester United if possible and will not sign new terms at Inter Milan until the transfer window closes.
United are currently prioritising Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui, though Dumfries is keen to leave Inter.
The Athletic writes: “Denzel Dumfries does not intend to engage in negotiations with Inter Milan over a new contract until the transfer window has closed.
“The Netherlands international has entered the final 12 months of his deal at San Siro and Inter want to secure the 28-year-old right wing-back to fresh terms.
“But as things stand he remains focused on a move elsewhere, with the possibility of joining Manchester United carrying particular appeal.”

Spurs keen to land Solanke

Tottenham are lining up a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, who has a release clause of £65 million.
The move could be helped by the exit of Richarlison, who is reportedly attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League.
The Evening Standard explains: “Tottenham are interested in a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
“Spurs want to bring in a new No. 9 and Solanke is one of their transfer targets. The 26-year-old has a release clause which is believed to be around £65 million.
“Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Spurs this summer, with clubs in Saudi Arabia thought to be tracking him. It remains to be seen if a move for former Chelsea and Liverpool frontman Solanke would be dependent on Richarlison leaving.”
