Liverpool weigh up Guehi transfer

Liverpool might look to sign Marc Guehi, but there is no chance they will do so in the current window, according to the Mirror. The asking price from Crystal Palace is said to be too much to countenance.
The paper writes: “Liverpool will consider a move for Marc Guehi, but not this summer with the Reds reluctant to stump up the £70 million fee Crystal Palace are demanding.
“The Eagles have been locked in negotiations with Newcastle United over a prospective move for the England international but an agreement has yet to be made with days of the transfer window remaining.
“The Magpies have seen a number of bids knocked back for the former Chelsea defender and Guehi was named in the starting XI for Palace's most recent Carabao Cup win over Norwich City.
“Crystal Palace have been firm in their valuation and have already sold central defender Joachim Andersen to Fulham this month. The south London side received £30m for the Denmark international and are now on the verge of landing French ace Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg, after agreeing a fee.
“It is still possible Guehi departs before the month ends, though the Toon Army may have seen their task made more difficult. Chadi Riad picked up an injury against Norwich on Tuesday night to leave Palace short of a central defender.”

Fulham keen on Nuamah

Fulham have ditched their interest in Rayan Cherki as he took too long to commit to a deal.
The Athletic believes that they have moved onto his teammate Ernest Nuamah, once a target for Southampton.
The website states: “Fulham are interested in a move for Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah, with the club no longer pursuing attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki.
“Lyon had accepted Fulham’s offer of an initial £12 million plus further add-ons for Cherki, but the France Under-21 international had not committed to the deal and was considering his options.
“The Athletic reported last month that Lyon were preparing to receive approaches for Nuamah, with clubs from the Premier League and Serie A monitoring the situation.
“Fulham have already completed the signings of Ryan Sessegnon, Jorge Cuenca, Emile Smith Rowe, Sander Berge and Joachim Andersen this summer but are in the market for another forward option before the transfer window closes.
“Southampton previously made an enquiry about Nuamah but a deal remains unlikely at this stage.”

The Daily Mail believes that Arsenal and Southampton have agreed a deal for Aaron Ramsdale.
While Southampton were reticent to complete a permanent deal, a £18 million fee has been agreed..
The paper claims: "Southampton have agreed a fee of £18million with Arsenal for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
"The deal for Ramsdale could potentially rise to £25million if performance-related add-ons are met.
“Arsenal have informed Ramsdale that he can leave if the Gunners receive a suitable offer for him.

Forest keen on Frankfurt striker Marmoush

Nottingham Forest are plotting the arrival of another striker before the transfer window closes.
One potential target could be Eintracht Frankfurt’s Egypt international, Omar Marmoush.
The Telegraph reports: “Nottingham Forest are targeting the signing of a new striker before Friday’s transfer deadline with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush emerging as a potential option.
“Forest have made a move for the Egypt international and are battling to complete a £20m package as they intensify their search for a striker.
“Nuno Espirito Santo has prioritised a new forward and has experienced frustration in the pursuit of Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.
“Marmoush, 25, has now emerged as a serious target with Forest in advanced negotiations with Eintracht over a potential deal.”
