Eberechi Eze would be interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur after it emerged new head coach Thomas Frank wants the Crystal Palace star, The Sun reports.
Spurs have been monitoring Eze for years and hope the prospect of UEFA Champions League football can lure him to north London, with the England international believed to have a release clause of around £60m.
The Sun adds: “Sources suggest that while it is not guaranteed Eze, 26, leaves Selhurst Park this summer, there is a very good chance it will happen.
“There is also serious interest in Man Utd target Bryan Mbeumo, who scored 20 Premier League goals under Frank at Brentford last term, though the suggestion of a bid having been put in already has been played down.
“Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is also appreciated.”
Konate disappointed by Liverpool talks
Ibrahima Konate is said to be disappointed by the state of the current extension talks with Liverpool, the Guardian reports.
The defender’s contract expires next summer and there are fears he could follow Trent Alexander-Arnold in leaving on a free transfer if there is not a swift resolution.
The Guardian adds: “Konate’s contract talks were delayed by Liverpool’s focus on negotiating with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk last season, with both signing new two-year deals in April before re-signing the Dutchman’s defensive partner became the club’s priority.
“The 26-year-old is understood to be disappointed by the structure of Liverpool’s offer, with his representatives believed to be pushing for a higher basic wage after the offer was heavily based on meeting certain performance targets.
“Liverpool plan to revive discussions with Konate later in the summer but are adamant they will not be forced into overpaying.”
Fulham join Zinchenko race
Fulham have entered the race to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal, The Sun reports. The defender could be available for as little as £10 million this summer.
Zinchenko has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, but he may not have to move far to land a new team.
The Sun adds: “Fulham are attracted to the ex-Manchester City star’s experience and versatility.
“Marco Silva is keen to push ahead with a deal and although The Gunners value the player at £12.7m, the west London club think they could land him for around £10m.
“Fulham think they could deploy him in defence or midfield as they look to build on their impressive performance last season.”
Newcastle eye South Korean wonderkid
Newcastle United are close to signing 18-year-old South Korean forward Park Seung-soo, The i Paper reports.
With Champions League football around the corner, Newcastle are in talks with Burnley over goalkeeper James Trafford and remain interested in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, while one look to the future has them targeting Park, who currently plays for second tier Suwon Bluewings in South Korea.
The i Paper adds: “The 6ft South Korean has five caps for the Under-20s and has also attracted interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“Newcastle would hope to tie up a deal for Park before they tour South Korea next month, boosting local interest in the tour.
“They play a K-League All-Stars side at the end of July before taking on Tottenham Hotspur on 3 August.
“While the deal is not a commercial one - the club have improved their global scouting network over the past 12 months - there has been a conscious effort to improve their following in Asia since touring Japan in 2024.”
