Mohamed Salah is likely to be courted once more by Saudi Pro League sides this summer, while Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen could return to his former side Brentford. Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay up for Manchester City forward Chloe Kelly, and Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares will not leave the club this season.

Salah interest expected once more

Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are expected to once again try to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool this summer, The Mirror says.
The Egyptian is one of three Reds players, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contracts are up in 2025.
"Their contracts are due to expire in July 2025 and Liverpool's success in agreeing new terms will be key to the Reds post-Klopp. It would be a tricky summer anyway if Klopp were staying and the jeopardy is only increased by the departure of director of football Jorg Schmadtke,” the Mirror explains.
“Schmadkte is leaving after just a year in charge after succeeding Julian Ward in June and it is now clear he was only really a caretaker to oversee Klopp’s final season.
“Ward only lasted a year as Michael Edwards' successor and Liverpool will be appointing their fourth director of football in a little over two years. This cannot be good for a club like Liverpool, who pride themselves on stability, in such a key role.
"Salah, in particular, presents Liverpool with a problem this summer. Do they cash in on him or carry on negotiating in the hope he will agree new terms to avert losing him for nothing in 2025?
"Liverpool rejected a £150million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad during the summer transfer window and the interest from the Pro League will only increase.
"Salah is 32 in June and the Saudis would love one of the world’s best players to become their new poster boy when he is still in his prime."

Brentford ready for Eriksen return

Thomas Frank is keen to have Christian Eriksen back from Manchester United.
The Danish playmaker has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and was linked with a move to Galatasaray earlier in the week.
“Thomas Frank says he would welcome Christian Eriksen back to Brentford with the midfielder currently out of favour at Manchester United,” The Sun states.
“The 31-year-old has featured only once for the Red Devils since the turn of the year – starting against his old club Tottenham three weeks ago.
“With just nine Premier League starts to his name this season, he may decide to consider his options this summer.
“Galatasaray are keen but now his countryman Frank has said he would be willing to take him back to West London.
“He played 11 matches for the Bees as he returned to football in 2022 – a few months after his heart scare at the Euros.”

PSG want Man City’s Kelly

Paris Saint-Germain hope to land Chloe Kelly from Manchester City.
They are willing to pay up for the forward, who is about to enter the last year of her contract.
The Daily Mail reports: “Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Chloe Kelly from Manchester City this summer and make her the highest-paid women's player in Europe.
“Kelly is one of the most recognisable stars in the women's game after firing England to glory in the 2022 European Championship Final at Wembley – the country's first major honour since 1966.
“City want Kelly to sign a new contract before she enters the final year of her current deal.
“However, the 26-year-old forward is understood to be putting negotiations off until the end of the season as she focuses on trying to win the club's first WSL title since 2016.”

Soares to stay with Arsenal

Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares will remain at the club for the rest of the season after failing to land a move to Turkey.
The Evening Standard contends that Benfica could move for the player in the summer.
The paper writes: “Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is set to stay in north London until the end of the season.
“The 32-year-old right-back will focus his efforts on helping Mikel Arteta’s side in his fringe role, as they push to beat Manchester City and Liverpool to the title.
“Cedric, capped 34 times by Portugal, had sought a move away from the Emirates in January, having made just two appearances this season and playing only 65 senior minutes.
“However, no move materialised and Cedric will now look to leave at the end of the season, when his £65,000-a-week contract expires.
“Turkish giants Galatasaray entered negotiations to sign Cedric for a nominal fee but opted instead to sign former Nottingham Forest right-back Serge Aurier, who also previously played for Tottenham, on a short-term deal.
“Cedric had no further offers, though Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Villarreal were all monitoring his situation. Benfica were also interested in signing Cedric last summer and may return when his contract expires on 30 June.”
