MANCHESTER CITY VS FULHAM Good afternoon and welcome to our live-text coverage of Manchester City vs Tranmere in the fourth round of the FA Cup! A mismatch perhaps? But these two could well face up next year as Fulham push for promotion in the Championship. Holders City, meanwhile, have all but given up on the league title and will have their eyes firmly set on some silverware this season. So they’re unlikely to go easy on their opponents. The Champions have also won their last eight against Fulham, and also got the better of them last time the two sides met in the FA Cup. That one ended 2-0, 105 years ago. But fear not Cottagers, 111 years ago Fulham beat City 3-1 in the FA Cup. So anything can happen really and we should never try and predict football.
- I. Gündogan(9' PEN)
- B. Silva(20')
- G. Jesus(73', 76')

Live Updates
That's the first goal Fulham have conceded since the first round of the cup.
CLOSE!
Angelino runs down the left flank in space and goes for goal from 25 yards. It rifles past the crossbar.
GOAL! Manchester City take the lead!
Ilkay Gundogan strokes the penalty beautifully into the bottom corner.
This could turn into a long, long afternoon for Fulham.
Nightmare start.

PENALTY AND A RED CARD!
I spoke too soon!
Ream, who started the game with a nervous touch, pulls back Jesus who is just about through on goal. It's a double whammy penalty and a red.
Awful decision making.
Red card
T. Ream
Reid gives away the first foul of the match after he pulls back Silva. Mahrez is found out wide but his cross is collected by Rodak.
So far so good for the Cottagers. Better sides have been dead and buried by now.
Fulham do well to hold on the ball in midfield as the City frontline chase them relentlessly trying to force another error.
Kongolo now putting pressure on Mahrez in midfield and he almost gets the better of the Algerian!
Nervous start from Fulham!
Ream gives it away and the back and just about gets away with it as Jesus and Mahrez can't quite work out a one-two.
Almost a sucker punch within 60 seconds there.
KICK-OFF!
Fulham get us underway! GO!
KEY MAN CAVALEIRO
Keep an eye out for this one. City have hardly been a defensive force this season as they cope with Kompany and the injured Laporte.
Could the Portuguese winger cause trouble this afternoon?

LAST TIME OUT
SCOTT PARKER SPEAKS
No stranger to a big occasion, Scott Parker has told his players to go into this one with belief.
He said: "The main message from me to my players is go there with big courage and big heart, and a determination.
"If you go to places like the Etihad and play against teams like Man City with no real conviction and don't try to put your stamp on the game, nine times out of 10 you roll out of there with a loss.
"Let's go there with courage, let's have a belief about us, and let's try and put our stamp on it."
A hope? A chance?
PEP COMPLAINS ABOUT CUP
Pep has won few fans this week, with calls for maybe cancelling the League Cup and FA Cup replays.
He said: "The Carabao and FA Cup will be played, maybe we could cancel the replays, maybe there could be less games in the Championship for example, less teams in the Championship or the Premier League.
"I come here, you ask me a question and I was honest but I don't think [about] what they have to do because it's not my business. My business is to prepare my team day-by-day. When they decide these games, we do it."
Is he right? Or a case of sour grapes?
TEAM REACTION
City, as expected, name a second string side made up of millions of pounds worth title-winning superstars.
Nothing to worry about, just Mahrez, Jesus, Bernardo and Silva among the attackers that make up this 'back-up' City side.
Phil Foden also makes a rare start so another chance for fans to see what he's all about.
As for Fulham...
Sessegnon, Johansen and Christie make the starting XI, while Kongolo Terrence makes his debut for Fulham having arrived this month on loan from Huddersfield.
