Pique surges through midfield from the back and into his position as the additional centre forward. Is that a tactical ploy from Enrique? It's fantastic to watch. Barca playing a big man up front.
Alves gets caught on the ball high up the pitch, but eventually recovers to make the challenge. That's a few times Barcelona have played themselves into trouble at the back.
Reminder: Barcelona scored four or more goals in 18 games last season. There are goals all the way through this team - and they could use another one of those performances in this second half.
The problem for Enrique is that he doesn't have many options if he wants to turn around this match. Rafinha is perhaps the only player you could look at on the bench as someone who could provide something.
Another positive start from Barcelona, after their start to the first half. Mascherano plays a long, diagonal ball forward to Mathieu - who wins the corner. Although that doesn't come to anything.
The second half is under way at the Camp Nou! Barcelona scored just before the break to give themselves hope. They need three more over the next 45 minutes.
What did you make of the first half? Can Barcelona pull this off? Can Athletic Bilbao hold them off the entire match? Let me know your thoughts during the half-time break. Tweet me!
HALF-TIME: Barcelona 1-0 Athletic Bilbao (1-4 on aggregate). Enrique's side NEEDED that goal. It was a beauty as well, with Suarez chesting it into Messi's path. Barcelona have set themselves up for the second half.
One minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half. The Camp Nou is rocking now!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (44 mins - Lionel Messi) Athletic Bilbao 0. They have they goal they needed before the break! Messi takes the ball down on the chest from a cross into the box and finishes past Iraizoz!
YELLOW CARD: Javi Eraso (Athletic Bilbao)
Was that the chance for Athletic Bilbao to wrap this game up? Aduriz would have had a tap in had Eraso squared it to him. Surely a 5-0 lead would have ended this match as a contest?
WHY DIDN'T HE PASS TO ADURIZ! Barcelona get themselves into all sorts of trouble with a loose pass, but Eraso decides to shoot himself rather than square for Aduriz - and hits the side netting.
Barcelona are starting to go more direct more often now. Enrique wants his side to move the ball quicker from front to back, and that should suit the likes of Pedro and Suarez up front.
I get the feeling that if Barcelona are to stage a comeback they really need to find a goal before the break. Athletic Bilbao have been excellent defensively, though. Great resolution.
BALLOONED OVER THE BAR! Rakitic smashes a half volley across the box, but Iniesta smashes his effort from the edge of the area well over the bar. I think they call that a duffer.
Messi lines up the freekick from the best part of 25 yards, but this time his effort lands on top of Iraizoz's net. He scored two pearlers against Sevilla last week, but he's been quiet so far.
