MOREIRA MAGIC RESCUES POINT FOR MILAN
Diego Moreira scored two brilliant goals in two second-half minutes to rescue a 2-2 draw for AC Milan in a thriller against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side dominated the first half and capitalised on their pressure when Matteo Cancellieri tapped in an inviting Mattia Zaccagni cross at the back post.
Mike Maignan kept Milan in the game with two big saves on Zaccagni, but found himself scooping the ball out of the net for a second time when Tijjani Noslin guided in a scrappy finish from a goalmouth scramble five minutes before the break.
Milan coach Ruben Amorim made three changes at the break to try and inject some life into his side, including the highly-anticipated return of Christian Pulisic from injury.
The American forced a good save from Christos Mandas before making a decisive intervention by hanging a high cross to the back post, where Moreira arrived like a train to hammer home an angled volley.
It was a superb strike from the Belgian on just his second appearance for Milan following a summer move from Strasbourg, but his night got even better when he fired a shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area two minutes later.
All the momentum was with a revitalised Milan, but they could not take advantage as the game descended into a scrappy affair in the closing stages, Omari Hutchinson stinging the gloves of Mandas in stoppage time with a long-range shot after coming on for his Milan debut.
Lazio failed to win for the first time this season but moved top of the table on 10 points ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures, while Milan are on eight points after their second draw in a row.

FULL-TIME: LAZIO 2-2 MILAN
A thriller in Rome. Two contrasting halves after Lazio dominated the first, deservedly going in at the break with a two-goal lead thanks to Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin strikes.
But Ruben Amorim rolled on three subs for the second half and one of them, Diego Moreira, turned the game on its head with two superb goals in two minutes for a revitalised Rossoneri.
A share of the points seems about right on balance, then, as both teams remain unbeaten after four games of the season.

MOREIRA MAGIC
The Belgian was a big-money signing from Strasbourg over the summer, joining in a deal worth a reported €66 million including add-ons.
This is only his second appearance after debuting from the start against Juventus last weekend - I'm guessing he might keep a starting shirt from now on...
