NAPOLI OVERCOME CAGLIARI TO CLINCH SCUDETTO
Scott McTominay etched himself into the history books by firing Napoli to their fourth Scudetto with a 2-0 win over Cagliari.
The Scotland international delivered a moment for the ages with a sensational acrobatic effort three minutes before half time, sending a sold-out Stadio Diego Armando Maradona into raptures.
It will go down as the crowning moment of his career so far, having been the standout player for the Partenopei throughout an unforgettable campaign in which he scored 12 goals and provided plenty of decisive moments.
Romelu Lukaku sealed the win shortly after the restart with a superb solo goal, effectively confirming Napoli's status as champions.
Victory sees Napoli claim the title by a single point, edging out Inter, and makes Antonio Conte a history maker as he becomes the first manager to win Serie A with three different clubs.
