AND WE'RE OFF
The stadium falls silent in memory of Italy's all-time top scorer Gigi Riva, who sadly died aged 79 earlier this week.
Napoli get the ball rolling, and we're underway in Rome.

SIN-SATIONAL
It's been a great day for Italian sport, with Jannik Sinner winning the Australian Open earlier, beating Daniil Medvedev in a five-set thriller in the final.
The crowd here at the Olimpico applauded their new champion before kick-off.

FIVE MINUTE WARNING
We've been treated to a light show and some lovely live music, including a very enthusiastic saxophone player. If that won't get you in the mood, what will?
Five minutes until kick-off.

JUVENTUS HELD BY EMPOLI
There was a big result up at the top of the table last night when title-chasing Juventus were held to a surprising draw at home to Empoli after going down to 10 men.
You can read all about that one here - we've got 10 minutes until kick-off in Rome.

TOP FOUR RACE HEATING UP
Napoli's title defence was reduced to tatters pretty quickly this season, so their goal is now to qualify for the Champions League.
However, they are down in ninth at the moment, five points behind Atalanta in fourth. Lazio sit two points ahead in sixth, so this is a big one for the top-four race in Serie A.
Both sides were away in Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana last week, where they suffered the wrath of Internazionale - Lazio losing 3-0 in the semi-finals before Napoli were beaten 1-0 in the final.

LAZIO HIT WITH PARTIAL STADIUM CLOSURE
The north side of the Olimpico - usually the loudest - will be eerily quiet tonight after Lazio were hit with a partial stadium closure as punishment for racist chants aimed at Romelu Lukaku during their Coppa Italia quarter-final win over rivals AS Roma earlier this month.

NAPOLI MISSING KEY FIGURES
Mazzarri has to make do without - *takes a deep breath* - Osimhen, Anguissa (AFCON), Meret, Natan (injury), Kvaratkskhelia, Simeone and Cajuste (suspended).
He has gone for a 3-5-2 formation, with Politano and Raspadori leading the attack.

IMMOBILE, ZACCAGNI MISS OUT FOR LAZIO
There are some high-profile absentees for both sides tonight and in Lazio's case, it's talismanic captain Immobile and winger Zaccagni who miss out through suspension.
Castellanos leads the line and will hope to make his breakthrough after a tricky start to life in Rome, while fellow summer signing Isaksen is on the wing. Cataldi gets the shout over Rovella in the playmaker role.

WELCOME IN
It's a fine winter's evening here in Rome and better way to spend it than by watching two Serie A heavyweights battling it out on the Stadio Olimpico turf?
