Cuisance bends a shot on goal from 20-yards out looking for the top corner but Onana can catch it relatively easily.

The midfielder cuts inside and cuts a low drive looking for the bottom left corner, but he drags his shot just wide!

Barella looks to lay the ball off to Gosens but Amione barges him off the ball and the move breaks down.

Mkhitaryan goes down under a late challenge from Cuisance. He should be fine to continue.

Cuisance's cross into the box is dangerous but Onana comes out and acrobatically punches clear.

Lukaku lays a ball off to Darmian who feeds his pass through to Martinez. The Argentine shoots but his effort is saved by Audero with the shot right at him.

Gosen's cross into the box is a good one, but Nuytinck heads clear ahead of Lukaku. Inter have started very well here.

Lukaku is making an instant impact! He picks the ball up with his back to goal, spins his marker then unleashes a fierce shot on goal which Audero has to fumble over the bar!

Inter have won nine of their last 11 meetings with Sampdoria. Last time the two sides met back in October, Inter beat Sampdoria 3-0 at the San Siro thanks to goals from Stefan de Vrij, Nicolo Barella and Joaquin Correa.

If there is going to be any kind of title race at all in Serie A for the remainder of this season then Inter need to win tonight. Napoli went 16 points clear on Sunday after a 3-0 win over Cremonese.

Former Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini will be looking to help lift Sampdoria out of the bottom two. He has scored four goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season.

Medhi Leris is suspended so Alessandro Zanoli takes his place. Tottenham loanee Harry Winks is also playing tonight in his fourth start for the club.

Romelu Lukaku starts tonight which will see him partner Lautaro Martinez for the first time in 2023. Joaquin Correa has a thigh injury so misses out this evening.
