Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of the Serie A clash between Sampdoria and Juventus.

It was somewhat predictable that Tevez would score the winner on his debut for his new side. Juventus were solid throughout against a spirited Sampdoria team and although they lacked creativity at times, the winner was a wonderfully worked effort. Job well done.

FULL TIME: Sampdoria 0-1 Juventus

Castellini shown a straight red for a late challenge on Lichtsteiner. Was a poor tackle but not sure it warranted a dismissal. Harsh for me.

Juventus sub: Carlos Tevez and Mirko Vucinic OFF, Fernando Llorente and Sebastian Giovinco ON.

Banti comes across the sidelines for a drink of water. Peculiar.

Vucinic shields the ball and wins a freekick from Krsticic. This gives Juve a good platform for the next few minutes.

Sampdoria attempts to thread a ball through the Juve backline but Barzagli comes away with it and lumps it forward to relieve the pressure.

Juve continue to come forward looking for a second but they must be wary of the Sampdoria counter attack, which is gathering pace with every surge forward.

Gabbiadini almost gets round the back of the Juve defence from a corner to poke the ball towards goal but he can't get enough purchase on his effort.

Sampdoria sub: Berardi OFF, Castellini ON.

De Silvestri takes on Chiellini down the right, winning the corner off the Italian defender.

Juve play with Sampdoria on the edge of the box, teasing and manipulating the opposition backline through Pirlo and Vidal.

Juventus are trying to calm down things by knocking the ball around the midfield. This is where Sampdoria need to come out and press Conte's side.

Once again Pirlo's delivery is a little off and forces Pogba to recover a deep corner at the back post which comes to nothing.

Eder drives a dangerous cross into the box from the right but after some scrambling by Barzagli and Bonucci Juve get it away. Sampdoria are looking threatening.
