Serie B side Arezzo's appeal to have their six-point deduction reduced was rejected.
Reggina are one of five top-flight sides who started the season in negative figures, with Siena (one), Lazio (three), Milan (eight) and Fiorentina (15) all picking up points penalties.
The club move up a place but are still 19th of 20 in the Serie A table on nine points, although they have a better match record than six other sides in the division.
